I am rusty. So terribly rusty.
Last week when I sat down to write an article for the local newspaper, the words scratched and fought their way out of my brain. A creative lead sentence would not magically appear like I expected it to. Instead I sat and stared at my computer for almost an hour. The perfect sentence never came.
That is when I realized how rusty I am. I haven’t written a blog in over a year and my biggest regret about my semester abroad is that I did not keep a better record of my adventures. So, in the spirit of wanting to befriend words once again, I am blogging. Here and also on my personal website: Mary Amanda Thompson.
