You Can’t Eat What Isn’t There

by Merry Mary on July 28, 2008

The good thing about eating is you can’t do it if food is not available.

Right now food is not available. I went out of town to help a good friend move into her new digs and the place I am currently staying at is almost completely devoid of food. It is kind of annoying that I have to go out and buy food when I am hungry, but on the positive side - I can’t sit around eating what isn’t here.

I probably should take a clue from staying here and keep less food around my own house. Not being able to eat when I am bored is fantastic. I know that I have lost a pound or two since I have been here just from the lack of overeating + the work of packing and moving stuff around.

So… I need to remember… don’t keep a ton of unneeded food around and weight loss will be easy. Hehe.

Hey! I just found your new site…nice!

Odd thing…I find that I am more hungry when there isn’t any food around. Why is that?

I definitely get that. What I’ve done is basically just remove all the things that would tempt me from the house, and leave all the inedible stuff :D

With a family of 4 keeping food out of the house isn’t an option for me, unfortunetly. But that’s just life and I got to figure it out!

I agree with FLG…I try to avoid having “bad” foods in the house. If it is not there, it can’t tempt me!

@ Irene: Haha. Glad you found the new site. :)

@ FLG and KK: Yeah! Remove and avoid temptation is all there is to it. Hehe.

@ John: I understand that. When I have stayed with my family during breaks from school I get completely thrown off because just having the food I want and need is not an option. having three younger and skinnier brothers means lots of food at home. I just try to avoid thinking about it being in the kitchen when I am there!
