Back To Work

I am so bad about blogging when I am not at home. The minute I leave town I completely forget that I blog; I even forget I enjoy blogging. I let several days pass until I return home and pick up my poorly neglected blog from where I left it.

So here I am picking up from where I left off and wondering what exactly I should say. I spent four days in another part of Tennessee helping several friends move into new places. I allowed myself to stay up late with them and completely abandon my crazy sleep schedule I keep when I am working every morning at 5:30.

I ate pizza with my friends several times and even drank a bit, meaning I consumed way more calories during those four days than I should have… but can I really resist margaritas with my mexican food? No, I cannot. They belong together in my opinion and thats probably why I don’t eat mexican food more often. :(

I didn’t work out during my little mini vacation (might as well pretend its a vacation since I don’t get a real once and it was a break from work at least) in the strictest sense. I took my gym stuff and planned on going to the YMCA there but never made it because I got on the crazy schedule of the people I stayed with which basically means I was awake only when the YMCA was closed. But I did get a great workout moving boxes and tubs of stuff for my friends. I hate moving for other people, but it really is a good workout. Strength from lifting and cardio from moving it around. Perfect!

So I am back now and ready to hop back on the daily work train. I started back to work today and come August the schedule tells me I have to wake up and get to work every morning by 5:30. Great. Thanks. I can’t wait! At least on this schedule I am good about working out directly after work!

It’s even worse being the big guy when it comes to helping people move, because you’re expected to be able to move all the heavy things, no sweat :D

Sounds like you had fun though, which is good. Hope getting back into the grind is easy for you.
