Mary,
This happens to me all the time. I will go down and then go up, go down then go up. You just gotta keep plugging away. I know how frustrating it can be. However, we should be proud we keep trying!

@ Krissie + Alex: Thanks!

@ Kim: I understand and that is exactly why I want to do it! I think its more about me being more aware of what I am doing so I can improve (hopefully).

FLG's right.

Personally I put up my stats once a week, then add a note or thoughts about why I've lost, gained or stayed the same.

The trickest thing is forcing yourself to post on weeks that went haywire. However, that's the most important time to post, as it makes you accountable and you can't ignore it.

It's not, I repeat NOT about beating yourself up, rather it's about coming to terms with and recognising your eating patterns and the danger zones.

I think it's a good decision because you will be aware all the time and you will not enter in that denial mode.

@FLG: good observations. Im doing it not because I thrive under structure or added pressure, because I don't feel it will add either of those, but because like to see progress and results. Its so easy for me to not notice differences if I dont pay attention, so I feel if I keep better track of everything it will be easier to see. Basically I am doing it as further motivation to keep going. Thanks for the well wishes.

Just so long as you don't use it as something to punish yourself.

If you're doing it because you feel you've let yourself down, and now you "need to step it up", "go for gold", "push the limit", then you might find yourself hating the new regime and not getting the results you had hoped for.

If, however, you're doing it because you know you thrive under structure, you like the added pressure, and you know you can push through it, then that's freaking awesome :)

Either way, I wish you much success :)
