Fitness Tip: Set Up an Activity Night

Trying to get the whole family to be more active?  Set aside one evening a week as Family (or Friends) Activity Night.  Choose fun physical activities that you can do together.   Go bowling, walking, roller skating, swimming at a local pool, or even play Wii Fit.  Sign up for a physical activity class or dancing lessons or find something else everyone will enjoy.  The most important thing is to spend time together doing something active.  This Valentine’s Day weekend is a great chance to start this.  Show your family, friends, significant other that you love them and want them to be healthy by suggesting something active you can do together.

This is a good idea. We spend far too much time just lazing around with loved ones- it’s much more fun to interact with them! I like going skating on the river with my mum and sister.

Great idea. Great to spend some time together, great to exercise together and great to get everyone involved.

I have found that most lifestyles reflect the bell curve and having an activity at night helps elongate that and keeps the body active. Thanks
