I’ve been thinking/talking a lot lately about stuff changing. Most of this has been only stuff in my head – I’ve wanted things to change but nothing has actually been happening. Now it is. Things are changing up in here people.
First change: I’m moving!!! ZOMG! YES!! I am so freakin ready to be out of this house and on my own. I finally decided that I had enough of living at home with the crazy brother and unhealthy surroundings (not that I am blaming the family). I decided enough was enough and I am moving out now. I found a tiny studio apt in Memphis and will be moving there within the next week or so. I have to wait on the girl there now to move out and then I can start moving my stuff in. I can BARELY afford to do it working only part time, but I can NOT afford to keep living at home. In this house there is a black cloud that follows me around constantly. I know that once I move out I will be in a much better place.
The new place is perfect for a few reasons. First, its closer to work. I will now have a 5 to 10 minute drive instead of a 25 to 30 minute drive. I am eliminating 40 minutes of driving from my day. I can’t wait to have a shorter commute so I can spend more of my day doing other things – even working out for 40 more minutes! Second: the apt is super close to a park. I can go to the park and walk with all the other active people that frequent the park to walk/run/play. Third: I can have a dog. I think I am going to keep one of my puppies when I move so that I will have a reason to walk every day. I know there isn’t a ton of room for a pit bull in a 450 sq ft apartment, but if I walk the dog several times a day I think she will be happy and I will be a lot healthier. Seems like a win, right?
Second change: I’m actually running again. YEAAAAAAAAAH! Not a lot and I’m mostly just walking, but I ran for a few minutes today when I was walking the puppy. And today when my running buddy (the persistent friend) called me she informed me that we were doing a 5k on April 18. Um, what? She didn’t even ask me just told me I am doing it and need to keep training (walking/running) to get ready. I laughed. Its great because this is what I wanted. I wanted someone in my life to push me to do more, to do better. Now I have what I wished for and I am not going to complain about it for one second. I’m excited to have a friend that wants to do healthy things together! Lets go run!
So these are two things that are happening now in my life. No more waiting around for me kids, Im ON this.

It may be tough financially, but it would probably cost you more overall to stay where you are now. If you know what I mean. :) Good for YOU for taking a hop in the right direction!
