We went to the beach yesterday. Hurray!
I’m trying not to think about the fact that I have to leave New Zealand next week and instead I’m focusing on how much fun I’m having this weekend. That’s the way to go, right?
Anyway, back to the beach. We took our lunch and had a little picnic underneath this tree:
Then we headed out to the beach.
Kepa was very happy to be there and was even smiling somewhat!
Hehe. We walked into the water, which was quite cold and had me acting like a huge baby. Once I got used to the water it wasn’t that bad. We swam down the beach we were at and then sat in the water where it was warm near the shore. I picked up the sand and covered myself in it, making my own “spa” of sorts, but in the end just went home covered in sand because I couldn’t get it all off. Unfortunately there was no photo of that.
We did take a photo of both of us.

I love the beach. And that dude.
Operation Sugarless is still in full swing. It seems a lot easier when I’m making my own food because I’m not tempted to buy anything sweet, yet restaurants I want to get dessert (probably just because everyone else does). I made a cranberry walnut salad with chicken yesterday that was delicious. It did have some honey in the dressing, but considering everything I’m choosing to overlook that little bit of sweetness since it was contained in a dressing.
I’ve got one more day to go before I can eat some proper sugary goodness. Sunday/Valentine’s Day – I can’t wait for you. ;)
Today we are going to the Auckland Zoo for Zoo Music to see some Kiwi musicians. I love the zoo and music so this is going to be a perfect combination.

Like you, I love you, and how could people not love that face! You are a sweetheart!!. You both look so happy “AT THE BEACH” since we have inches of snow that just won’t melt, I envy you a little, we are having a blast of spring next week, it may reach 50 degrees. Yeah! Can’t wait for spring, exercise and warm weather.
I got a new workout tape, but I think I will wait to try it out. I like walking but the snow has been keeping me in. Oh well, you to enjoy the beach, and each other. You are so cute….

My weekend plans right now include getting rid of a yukky cold!!! And then going out dancing Sunday afternoon.
It’s SNOWING in Atlanta. Not just a dusting either. So, so pretty but so are your photos of the beach!!!! The snow, at least anticipation of it, has killed the weekend plans. Oh the sun, I sure hope it comes back soon.
