I was hoping to get a video done today but unfortunately it’s not going to happen.
I know, you are crying your eyes out right now. You miss seeing me. It’s understandable.
Next week there will be a video from Fitbloggin in Baltimore, I hope. I’m missing videos! I like how they SHOW my progress over time just as well as the numbers do. So they will definitely return once I figure out the technical difficulties I’m having.
Now on to the stuff you were wondering about…
WEEKLY WORKOUTS
Wednesday March 10 - 1 mile walk/run; 30 minutes on the stationary bike; 50 minutes on the treadmill walking at 3.2 mph with hill intervals; chest press 45 lb 3 x 10, incline press 45 lb 3 x 10, fly machine 40 lb 3 x 10; situps with 8 lb medicine ball 3 x 20.
Thursday March 11 -30 minutes walking on the treadmill at 3.2 mph 1.0 incline; leg press 145 lb 3 x 10, leg extension 40 lb 3 x 10, leg curl 40 lb 3 x 10, calf raises 145 lbs 3 x 10, shin exercises, inner thigh machine 3 x 10, outer thigh machine 3 x 10 both at 55 lbs. lots of stretching.
Yeah, I only did two workouts this week. That’s a bit sad. I’m pretty sure my weight loss is from last week when I didn’t weigh in. This week in all reality was probably a gain.

Current Weight: 210.6 lbs

Alright. 10 pounds away from 200. It’s getting closer! Ahhh! Eventually I’m going to be under it! This week I’m going to be super busy but I’m going to try to get in a lot of exercise along with healthy eating.
OTHER THINGS
Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of my plans to move to New Zealand. I’m excited and scared about it all at the same time. It’s going to be a good experience and opportunity, to live in another country. I’ll most likely blog about the move more, but since it’s not happening until August or September I won’t mention it much until then. For now the only goal is to earn/save/scrounge up the money for moving. The worst thing about New Zealand is how expensive it is to get there!
I’m still completely focused on getting to my next main goal of being under 200 pounds. This weekend got me a bit off track with the fast food and the lack of exercise. I’m realizing that I let other people and their habits and way of life sway me. If they don’t exercise and eat out a lot when I’m with them I do it too. I need to be better about making my own decisions and making things work in my favor. I like good food, that’s healthy and tastes good. The stuff I ate with my friends fulfilled none of those points and I didn’t enjoy it very much. So I’m trying to learn how to stand up for my way of eating and living when I’m with other people. It’s a process.
At least my weekend was fun, if not super productive. How was your weekend?

You’re so close! You can do it!
I’m the same way, I tend to eat worse and exercise less when I’m hanging with people who are doing the same. It’s a tough cycle to break though.
Thanks Tara! It’s a touch cycle to break because I don’t ever want to be the one that’s different, that needs to do things differently. I hate making a fuss so I just try not to. But I need to stop that and do what is best for me.
Best of luck with getting under 200 pounds, you’re so close and every pound that you lose from that final 10 will empower you to keep going!

Hello! My first comment here- I think I’ve been subscribed to your RSS for about a week :] Anyways, I have been stalling around 200 for weeks, and I had lost a small amount to get there. I find you inspirational, and hopefully we will both be able to get under 200 in good time! The one reason I like your blog the most is we are starting relatively near the same weight, shooting for nearly the same goal! To end- good luck, as always, and I’ll be rooting for you!

You’ll be under 200 in no time flat! I’ve been hovering just above 250 for weeks now, and I can’t wait to get into the 240′s! Hoping my weigh-in next Saturday will be the day.

I know how that goes. I settle around a weight for a while (um, like 211!!!!) and it seems like it takes forever to get past. I hope you hit the 240s soon!

Congratulations on your weight loss! You hang in there and it won’t be long before you’re out of the 200s.
I realize it’s hard to resist ordering the really good stuff when you’re out with friends, but you can order healthy from many fast food places, and you’ll be amazed at how good and filling the healthier food choices can be.
Oh, I know I can. But I didn’t the one time I got to choose (Taco Bell) and the other times they just brought me food. I’m aware that most (not all) fast food places have acceptable food.
I DO miss seeing you. But I loved video chatting with you the other day :) The videos are great at showing your progress, and they’ll be fun to look back on :)

Yahoo for your weight loss! Congrats! As for the eating with friends or others, I just do my own thing. I do not let others effect my choices on food. At first it was weird for family/friends & honestly, now, it is just normal & nobody tries to push me to eat things I don’t want to eat. I like to make my own choices on when I will treat & I want that treat to be something I really want, not just because.
The weekend was nice plus productive. Finally nice weather here in southern CA AND I found a dress for the wedding!

Yeah. With my close friends and family I’m fine with doing that. But these people weren’t very close so it’s a lot harder in that kind of situation. But I’m working on it.

Ive noticed people often have these ‘great’ places to eat and then it is usually not so tasty and pretty bad for you. More usually, im known for being a ‘picky’ eater, because I refuse to go to fast food places if I know they are fast food places, or places where the food is going to give me a stomachache. I tell everyone they can go there I just wont eat. Generally that works so that they bend my way and change locations..like last nite, when 2 of my friends wanted to go to jack in the box ew. Of course, being outspoken like that can sometimes get you a reputation.. :) but oh well. Also, though it helps that I have backup..like when I was in san diego w my best friend, both of us wanted to go find a gym to work out!
My weekend was good! Made a trip to sacramento Friday night, and had a great time out dancing yesterday evening!
