we really need to do something about healthcare in this country....having to consider whether you should get help or not is not something someone in that position should have to consider!

I'm so sorry that happened to you, but I'm glad that such a horrible experience was made better by your new friends and the awesome hospital! I hope I haven't missed it yet (I'm in a blog-reading frenzy trying to catch up after this weekend), but I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on the diet/kidney stone link.

YAY for running a mile. BOO for kidney stones. I'm so sorry you had to spend your Fitbloggin' time in the hospital but glad things are ok now. Just another reason why this country needs to figure out the whole health care thing. I'm not sure if the recent bill does it but we could learn a thing or two from other countries who treat people who are sick no matter what the cost. I recently watched the movie Sicko and it is a real eye opener about how f'd up our current system is.

Take care of yourself and I'm sure you'll be back to running in no time ;) 2 miles?

I am so sorry to hear that you had to go through this on a weekend that was supposed to be such a fun experience. (Although, any weekend would've sucked). I'm really glad that you're doing better and had a positive experience at the hospital.

You thoughts about the bill/not having insurance are exactly why I am so happy that the House passed the Health Care Reform Bill. It's definitely not perfect, but it's a start towards improving a very flawed system.
