A Merry Workout Pledge Recap

Last week’s workout pledge was fun and sorely needed. I had not done a great cardio workout in a while and was super happy to have a reason to go try out the gym and get in a good workout.

I spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and then 40 on the bike. I thought about making it more of a split, jumping from machine to machine but once I got on the bike I got into a rhythm that was comfortable and I just went with it! An hour of cardio isn’t bad at all and honestly I should do it more often. I think that’s another goal for the month of june (this month has a million goals). Here’s my photo from the post workout pledge workout:

A nice rosy glow, right? Hehe. I was lucky to be next to both a fan and a air conditioning vent, so I ended up not getting very hot at all during the workout. That’s great because I’m normally one to get overheated quickly.  So keeping cool made this workout seem almost easy!

For my 60 minute cardio I decided to hike up to Grandeur Peak.  Its a 6 mile roundtrip hike that gains 2619 feet in elevation. (Steep!) The trip up took me 2 hours and the trip down took 1. Just letting you know my workout pledge is done and dusted. 25 minutes on the treadmill, 25 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes on the rower.

I’ve successfully completed yet another Merry Workout Pledge. :o)

I ran for 40mins and walked for 30mins. So my total was 70mins. Not sure the mileage, but that’s okay.

And I know a few more of you participated but just didn’t email me. How did the workout pledge go for you? Got any sweaty pics to share?

If you were needing some motivation to workout today, there it is. Go make it happen.

sorry I didn’t email you (and no picture either!) – haven’t been checking my blogs much this weekend! But thank you so much for the pledge…a couple of days it was the only thing that made me go (i pledged 60 minutes a day for wed, thurs, fri, and sat). I walked on the treadmill each of those days for at least 60 minutes, a little over 3 miles on the good days, and less than that on the bad :). and this week i’m going to move to the ellipticals. can’t wait for your next workout pledge!

I get overheated really quickly, too. My gym also happens to be way to warm to start with. It annoys me. Haha. Hopefully, losing weight will help me to stay cool. Less insulation, or whatever.

I didn’t do the workout pledge.

Thanks for this! It really pushed me to get that cardio in. Sometimes I get a little focused on the weights (which is good) and forget that cardio is important too!

Thank goodness it wasn’t this week though – no way I would be able to do it with my back as it is now :(

Oh crap, I forgot to email you! And my phone died post-run but I did 12 miles in 2:35:24 for Amerryworkoutpledge. I think I’m prepared for the Half now! I can do this!

that hike photo is very pretty. i danced for about 9 hours out of 11 that i was out at a club sun nite. that counts kinda as cardio right? so did i make the challenge? maybe..
