BodyRock TV Absolute Beginner Workout

by Mary on April 14, 2011

So I’ve been wanting to try a BodyRock TV workout for a while. Some of my favorite bloggers have been saying really good things about these workouts, but every time I watched one I got a bit scared about the intensity and whether or not I’d be able to do it. I decided to finally suck it up and find one to do which is when I came across the absolute beginner workout.

Note: for some reason it has posts about the workout on their site but the videos have disappeared. I watched the videos on someone else’s account who had saved them, so that’s what is posted below.

The beginner workout is in 6 videos but each one is short and only has one to four exercises on it. I finished the entire workout in about half an hour. If you are interested in trying BodyRock I definitely recommend this one as an easy way to get started.

I enjoyed the workout a lot. It was fun and added some elements I don’t normally do in my own workouts. It wasn’t terribly hard since I workout regularly but if you really are an absolute beginner it might be tough at first (but you will improve!). I can’t wait to move on to the harder workouts they have available…. well, harder for me. Some of them still look way too intimidating, especially the ones where the trainer in the videos looks like she is struggling to finish.

It seems like they are all good workouts and a great option for any of you who hate going to the gym and want to workout at home. Plus all the workouts are free and available online via the BodyRockTV website or YouTube. There are a ton of workouts and I think they do a daily workout so you will never get bored.

The only thing you will need is a interval timer (Gymboss is good and only $20 available on Amazon) to do most of the workouts. I’m definitely going to buy an interval timer so I can do more of these workouts when I go back to the US because I might not get a gym membership.

Do any of you do BodyRock TV workouts? Which are your favorite? If you don’t, do you think you would try them?

Hmm interesting. I have not ever seen that site but I would maybe try that. I don’t usually work out at home. But I could start, esp when my roommate will be gone for a while.

I haven’t done any of the BodyRock workouts – but I have seen them! I may have to try the beginner one – the rest are REALLY intimidating to me.

I DO have an interval time – I use it for my run walk intervals for running. They are AWESOME. It is one of the most useful pieces of fitness equipment that I have!

I can’t wait to get an interval trainer. It’s going to be very useful for doing at home workouts & for running/walking outside. I love to do run/walk intervals but it gets so annoying checkin my watch all the time. I can’t believe I didn’t think of getting one of these before! It’s such a clever thing!

I just thought those were Christian porn vids; never considered actually trying them. Haha. They look difficult, so more power to you!

LOL! She definitely gets a lot of views from guys just watching for her body, but the workouts she does are actually pretty good and a lot are really tough!

Hi Mary :) How are you? I love the Gymboss, I need one in pink. I’ve been using them since they came out. I don’t do Bodyrock workouts cause I love being in control of my own training routine. But their website is great, and I think Zuzana is wonderful person.

Need to get a gym boss and get started. Wonder if she ever had any body fat?

I just did my first bodyrock workout today and I loved it. She is inspiring and it went by fast. I didn’t buy an interval trainer, I just downloaded a free interval app on my phone. So that might be an option if you don’t want to buy a gymboss.
