I love this picture of me.
It’s from our weekend trip to St. Louis back in July. Remember me briefly mentioning that? I never blogged about it because I didn’t have photos. My “in real life” friends aren’t bloggers so they tend to take forever to upload things to the web.
Let’s pretend the trip wasn’t last month or that this is a flashback Friday post like Janetha always does. Because the trip was awesome!
St. Louis Trip
Some of my very best girlfriends and I recently decided to take a fun trip to St. Louis to visit Six Flags and one of my favorite activities: roller coasters!
That Friday I took a half day with my friend Christina. We hung out and went shopping for last minute trip snacks and supplies. Somehow on that brief shopping trip I managed to find a Hello Kitty shirt that she talked me into buying. I’m a bit obsessed with Hello Kitty lately and I love this shirt (I’m a 13 year old!). It was well worth the purchase.
The five of us packed up for the weekend and drove up to St. Louis from Memphis. We spent the next day at Six Flags St. Louis.
We didn’t take that many photos during the day. And a few were super awkward anyway. Once you hit the water park photos just aren’t an option anymore.
I mean, what the what? What are we even doing here?
We ended up picking an awesome weekend to go. It wasn’t hot or crowded and the day was awesome. We walked and walked and walked and played and had a blast. By the end of the day we were all dead tired after so much activity. We ate dinner and then promptly passed out.
We were staying with my best friend’s grandparents and lucked out when they made us dinner and breakfast the next morning. They treated us so well!
After breakfast we spent Sunday morning at a casino. I’m not sure how we decided to go there or why (maybe because it was open?), but it was fun. It was strange to be at a casino on a Sunday and we all agreed that is why we lost all our money.
At least we got to enjoy the scenery. Casinos sometimes have the coolest fountains, I was mesmerized by that little one!
After the casino we drove back home to Tennessee. We stopped for dinner at Lambert’s Cafe in Sikeston, Missouri. It’s “The Only Home of the Throwed Rolls.”
It’s a place everyone stops at when going to or from St. Louis. They bake rolls then throw them out to people in the restaurant. It’s actually really fun and the food (traditional Southern food) is pretty good. Once a few friends and I drove the three hours just to have dinner and then go home. It’s a fun place that is always packed and just part of the Memphis to St. Louis trip.
So that was our fun weekend trip to St. Louis! It wasn’t too crazy but it was really fun and I loved spending the weekend with friends I don’t get to see very often.
Just one this Friday…
