I twisted my ankle today doing ab exercises.
How does that happen? I was doing hanging leg raises and had just finished my set. I’m short so the machine isn’t really built for people my size but I try to manage and reached my foot out to get to the ground. I thought I had it placed in a stable position but was wrong. I was too far over the edge of the bottom frame and slipped when I came down and my ankle twisted under me. I might have said “oh fuck” and rolled around moaning a bit. It was awful. Luckily I did this in a room by myself.
Oops. So now I’m icing my ankle with brussel sprouts and crossing my fingers I didn’t do any permanent damage. Why am I so clumsy?
Now, on to happier things: wedding recaps!
This will probably be my last wedding related post on this blog because I finished recapping the wedding over on my wedding blog! I suppose I could have done it here but links are fine too, right?
I posted the wedding reception recap today!

Yeah, I loved our wedding. I really loved our wedding reception.

I definitely loved the food. Now that was a good time. I wish I had more photos of the food. Let’s just say it was super awesome delicious BBQ and cupcakes wedding food.

Getting married is a reason to dance.

And dance.

And dance. Luckily I married someone who likes to dance. We shall continue the dancing long into this marriage.

Like I *may* have mentioned before… the wedding was great. I wrote several recaps if you want to see more:
- Wedding Recap: Engagement Photo Session
- Wedding Recap: Getting Ready
- Wedding Recap: First Look & Portraits
- Wedding Recap: Ceremony
- Wedding Recap: Our Wedding Ceremony Script
- Wedding Recap: Reception

Good times.
The future of my wedding blog now that I’m done recapping the wedding… hmmm. I don’t think it has a very well defined future but I plan to blog about my crafts/learning how to sew over there as it already has a DIY focus and a huge part of my life is being crafty and creative. So if you are interested in those types of things keep an eye out on that blog.
Have a lovely day! Keep your ankles safe. ;)

Mary, your wedding is the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen and you were a beautiful bride. I love the story of you and Kepa and I wish you a lifetime of dancing happiness together.
I love your wedding photos :) The happiness and love that you are both obviously feeling just jumps right off the page! So so lovely — I’m so happy you two have each other :)
I knew without even reading the other blog those cupcakes were from Muddy’s. What I wouldn’t give for a Capote right now. Then the fact your BBQ was from Central confirmed your coolness. By far one of the better BBQ places in Memphis!
Take care of the ankle.

Beautiful wedding recap…
Unfortunately I know a thing or two regarding ankle recovery… R.I.C.E. is key! Rest – Ice- Compress – Elevate. Try to take it easy for a few days. Try to work on your balance that will help get your ankle strong.
