Yesterday I shared these photos on Facebook and Twitter:
That is the bridesmaid dress I ordered from Ann Taylor for my friends wedding.
They were having a major sale and I had to order the dress within hours to get 80% off (seriously, DEAL). I panicked because I didn’t know what size to get as I’ve never bought a dress like that or a dress from Ann Taylor. I guessed that I would be a size 14.
I worried it would be too small or fit wrong but when I tried it on it fit perfectly! It was a complete NSV for me.
It was also the first time in a while that I really, REALLY believed in my ability to do this. After stalling for so long and feeling stuck I lost my ability to believe in myself. Seeing these photos versus my fat photos made me think I can really do this because I’m already doing it. I can just keep going.
Belief in my ability to do things comes harder for me sometimes, but it just poured out right then.
I now am SO EXCITED to JUST KEEP GOING in this journey. I can’t wait to show you all the pictures of me in this dress when I’m actually in the wedding in a couple months.
So, the dress was a NSV and a motivator and a cute thing all in one. Win!

LOL, I won’t be wearing black tights, that’s just what I had on that day for work and I was literally too excited to change that part when I just wanted to see if the dress fit or not. It wasn’t meant to be a fashion shoot, I just took pics to send my friend whose wedding I’m in to show her the dress and then I got so excited that I ended up showing the whole internet. ;)
