Cookie Time

I had a lovely and relaxed weekend. It included some amazing things, including – Girl Scout cookies!

The Girl Scouts were out in full force in Memphis, selling their cookies in front of every store. Gotta love Girl Scout cookie season! We got a box of tagalongs and samoas for Kepa to try since it’s a new experience for him. Don’t worry though, I only had a couple. The rest were not destined for my tummy. Moderation – I did it.

Home Projects

I worked on a project for our front porch over the weekend. It involved lots of COLOR and spray paint.

I’ll be posting the full details on amerrywife.com soon. I love how everything is turning out! I’m enjoying the work on house projects while at the same time I’m dreaming about buying our own house one day. We actually went to a few open houses this weekend as we are exploring neighborhoods and houses for the future. Never too early to look, right?

Walks with JuJu

I also took my little doggy friend on several long walks.

I discovered the secret to a good walk with JuJu – an extra 15 pounds. I bought her a new harness backpack and loaded it up with weight. It’s the first walk where she walked PERFECTLY beside me loose leash with no desire to pull. Apparently my little puppy needs to work out harder. From now on she will get a nice weighted backpack to carry.

All in all it was a relaxed weekend but very fun. I also spent some time with my brothers and talked with some really good friends. There was a little play, a little work, a little creativity, a little time with friends and family, a little bit of sweet food, activity, healthy foods – it all just felt really balanced. Moderation weekend. It was nice. :)
