Holy rainy, stormy day!
I didn’t get nearly enough sleep last night between the bad thunder and tornado sirens that went off before I woke up. It was not a restful night of sleep.
I’m currently sitting at work feeling tired and sore. Saturday I put myself through a leg workout with squats and lunges and the like and my muscles are feeling it still. Clearly I need to hit up the hard leg day action more often.
Other things I did over the weekend? Played putt putt with these homies!
I’ve had a great week hanging out with various friends in multiple cities. I went to see the Grizzlies in the playoffs, spent time in Nashville, ate at great restaurants… It’s been one of my favorite birthday weeks on record.
(If the Grizzlies could just come through and win the series against OKC I’d be set on birthday week/month happiness.)
Now that all the celebratory meals and drinks are past, I’m starting something new…
Yeah, I know. It’s totally a fad that’s going around. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it on other blogs and all over Facebook, but I decided to do it because people in my real life kept doing it! I saw several friends knock out 24 day challenges and my boss mentioned she was about to do the 10 day cleanse. Since we are in the same place most days I decided to join her. It’s always easier to do such things when someone nearby is there to encourage you.
I haven’t gotten the stuff yet but I’ll start once it comes in. I’ll obviously let you know how it goes and what I think about it. I’ve never done a “cleanse” before and never really thought to do one. It was an impulsive decision because why not?
(It’s not something I was given or something I was paid to try or anything I will benefit from.)
So that’s that. Life is about to get a lot calmer now that there are no trips planned and no birthday festivities to be had. Back to the normal routine!
