When I woke up for Day 6 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge* I decided to weigh myself.
I weighed in at 201.4 which meant I’ve lost 6 pounds so far. I’ve lost 6 lbs!!
That number kind of blew my mind since last time in the whole ten days I only lost 7 pounds. This time feels different, but it also feels like I’m not being that strict because last time I didn’t have anything like tortillas and my food was pretty bland. So that’s pretty exciting news to see that it’s working and I’m actually enjoying what I’m eating more.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 6 Food
Wakeup: Spark*! Probiotic pills.
Breakfast: I got distracted with a work task and ate breakfast later than I had planned to do so and without a lot of thought put into it. Oops. I ended up having cashews and a little cutie for breakfast. Delicious but not exactly well thought out. I should break into the stash of meal replacement shakes for days like this. I think breakfast will be easier during the 14 days when I have shakes and don’t have to put a ton of thought into making smoothies or eggs or whatever.
Lunch: Lunch is usually leftovers or something I ate the day before and this day was no different. I made two more turkey tacos and added a bit of diced cabbage to them.
Snacks: No snack day! For some reason I forgot snacks when I left the house and didn’t feel like buying any. Also didn’t have an afternoon Spark. What a drab food day!
Dinner: Dinner was amazing! I think it might have been my favorite meal so far. Turkey burgers which I topped with red onion and avocado, baked fries with Mrs. Dash seasoning, roasted peppers, and asparagus with pepper and Mrs. Dash. When I put everything on my plate I thought, that’s a lot of food! But I was hungry from a day without snacks and I ate it all. So full, so happy, so delicious.
Definitely my favorite meal so far and one that was packed with lots of different types of vegetables.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 6 Fitness
Chase with JuJu. Ok, it doesn’t sound like a workout, but it is!! JuJu and I play this game where I tell her “I’m gonna get you!” She then grabs a toy and runs away where I chase her. She then turns and chases me back. We run back and forth lengthwise through my house until I have to quit because I’m out of breath. I’m always the one who quits first. Obviously. It’s a fun game and she loves it and I do too. I count is as exercise since I always end up out of breath at the end.
Still haven’t made it to the gym but plan to hit that up on Saturday.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 6 Thoughts
Made my first mistake and forgot to take my herbal cleanse pills at night. I had a headache and was super worried about going to sleep without insomnia so I just forgot. I don’t think it makes or breaks this experience but I’m bummed that I’ve missed one item on the list!
Mrs. Dash extra spicy seasoning* is so good! I can’t believe I never discovered this salt free combination before now. Eating without added salt can sometimes suck because we are all so used to high amount of sodium in everything. I compensate by making all the other flavors super bold and Mrs. Dash helped with this. I used it on fries and asparagus and it made my meal that much better. I definitely plan to keep using this seasoning.
Seeing 6 pounds gone on the scale is really motivating me to keep going. That initial drop is going to be higher than the rest of the experience because it’s mostly water weight and bloating, I know. But it’s still awesome to lose a few pounds and feel lighter and better in such a short period. Those quick wins can totally motivate you to keep going over a longer period. And if you haven’t had many wins in a while? It’s super exciting and motivating!
