Day 19 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge! The lingering effects of being sick hung around longer than I expected them to do so. I’m just now finally starting to feel 100% which is great! I wish I’d not caught that silly cold in the middle of the challenge though because it totally slowed me down. Alas, life happens!
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 19 Food
Wakeup: Spark*! Finished the last Manadarin Orange flavor I had so now I get to move on to flavors I like more! Hurray.
Breakfast: Chocolate meal replacement shake*. For some reason I had a ton of trouble with my shake this morning. It didn’t really mix well and I ending up spilling it on myself. It was just a doomed breakfast from the start.
Lunch: I met my mom for lunch and ran errands for her since she can’t really do much with her knee yet. We had basic salads with grilled chicken. No photo since my phone died while I was in the car. This happens all the time now so I’m thinking it’s time to upgrade to the iPhone 6! Or something with better battery life so I can use my phone without being constantly plugged in!!
Dinner: Dinner ended up being an interesting experiment in eating off plan for the first time. I had a side salad and then ate pizza. Yep, pizza. I was a dinner to meet some of my boyfriend’s family at a restaurant that is well known for their pizzas (and they are in fact really delicious). It tasted good but afterwords I wished I had stuck with the salad only because my tummy has been bothering me ever since. I did enjoy being at the restaurant because my water glass was constantly refilled – I drank three glasses!
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 19 Fitness
My core and arms were sore so I focused on cardio. Walking and running intervals. I think from now until this challenge is over I want to put a heavier focus on cardio. I think that coupled with eating well should help me finish strong.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 19 Thoughts
Day 19 obviously wasn’t my best day on the challenge since I had pizza for dinner. But, but, BUT!! I didn’t eat pizza until I was stuffed, I didn’t get a dessert after, and I didn’t make myself feel terrible about it. This challenge has been harder this week with more eating away from home but I’m trying to adapt and make it work because that’s how my life normally is. People like to meet and eat at restaurants. Sometimes I’ll have to be the one ordering chicken and veggies or a side salad.
Yesterday I got the comment “you look skinny“. It was kinda surprising but exciting to hear! I knew my pants were loose but I’ve been wearing hoodies and cardigans due to the cold so it’s not like you can notice the changes underneath these clothes. It’s nice to know when the warm weather comes to stay for good the changes will be noticeable to others. It’s almost scary to think I’m entering a new world for myself… but I think I’m ready.
I’m actually off to the gym for a Saturday morning workout after finishing this post. I forgot about a 5k I wanted to run this morning so I’ve got to make a better calendar for races. Perhaps it’s time to buy a giant wall calendar to place my workouts and races on? I think that might be needed!
