Day 21 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge was spent on the go all day long. Church, blog, bridal shower, movie, spending the night with my mom. Lots of driving all over town because none of those are particularly close together. Instead of a day of rest I felt like I was busier than I am during the week!
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 21 Food
Wakeup: Spark*! Had the Mango Strawberry flavor which is sooo good.
I couldn’t believe it was cold enough to wear a coat. I’m ready for spring! It snowed on Saturday here which was insane to see. Let’s move on to the warmer weather, ok?
Lunch: I attended Candace’s bridal shower where I ate lunch. I was incredibly happy to see those veggie trays when I got there!
I stuck mostly to the veggie tray. I loaded up on the cut peppers and carrots which I had with hummus. I also had 3 meatballs, 2 cocktail weenies, and a few bits of a brownie and one coconut petit four. They had mimosas and a delicious looking punch, but I stuck to water… drinking about 3 bottles during the food and presents portion!
Congrats to Candace and her future husband on all the gifts and love. I’m so excited to be in their wedding in 34 days! :)
Dinner: At dinner I got back to my normal style of eating with a turkey burger topped with onions, a side salad with carrots, and a tiny bit of fruit salad.
I don’t eat kiwis nearly enough! They have so many health benefits and are quite delicious.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 21 Fitness
Fitness today didn’t involve a gym so I got a bit creative. When I went to my mom’s I used her open living room space to do arm, abs, and some cardio. Sure running in pace and pacing isn’t super fun, but getting some type of workout in was important!
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 21 Thoughts
The last week of this challenge taught me how how hard it is to succeed without planning ahead. There were lots of days where I hadn’t planned my meals and ended up in the store thinking “crap, what do I buy?” It’s definitely a lot easier to do the challenge when you plan ahead and aren’t going out to dinner and parties and such a lot.
I’d recommend doing the challenge during a time of year where you don’t typically have lots of commitments like that! I thought this time of year would work well because it ends before my birthday and wedding season, but alas, I’m still working through the challenges of going to events and dinners and not really planning all my meals. It’s something for sure I need to work on even as I get busier in the next couple of months.
