I spent day 22 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge in a daze. I only got a couple hours of sleep when I stayed at my mom’s house so I spent the whole day in somewhat of a half-conscious sleep-deprived state. That’s a hard way to live and aim for weight loss because lack of sleep can really derail you. Luckily I pushed through and still did all the things I needed to do!
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 22 Food
Wakeup: Spark*! Had the Mango Strawberry flavor which is sooo good.
Breakfast: Chocolate meal replacement shake* in the blender bottle. I actually really miss breakfast foods right now and want some eggs for breakfast. The shake is great and I’ll probably use them as a backup breakfast after the challenge, but just not daily like this.
Lunch: For lunch I ended up at Chick-Fil-A with a side salad and grilled nuggets with fat free honey mustard dressing.
This is my fast food go to if I’m eating out for a meal. If someone mentions they want to grab lunch somewhere quick I always try to steer the conversation towards Chick-Fil-A. I just really like their salad and nugget combo.
Snacks: Snack wise I had a few cashews from my bag I got at Kroger earlier in the week. Best $1.90 spent all week! JuJu would agree, if she could have some.
Dinner: At dinner I ate another salad with lots of spinach and carrots. For a dressing I couldn’t decide what to use, so I just used lemon juice and pepper! That seemed to surprise everyone I ate with but I thought lemon was sometimes used? I know I’ve used it before and I actually really enjoyed it!
I also ate a part of a chicken breast and a small bit of brown rice. All in all it was a very simple dinner but very satisfying.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 22 Fitness
Fitness for the day was an arm workout at home and lots of walking. Since it was gorgeous weather I extended JuJu’s walk to last longer to benefit both of us. With the nicer weather we will probably be hitting the pavement a lot more often.
AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Day 22 Thoughts
As I mentioned, I didn’t get a ton of sleep last night for a lot of reasons when staying with my mom. It made going through the day a lot harder for sure. I’ve not gotten enough sleep through a large part of the challenge which is a shame because it’s very important to your success. It’s definitely one thing I wish I would have done better through this whole challenge.
However, despite the lack of sleep, I still showed up. I did what I needed to do. I ate the right foods and didn’t give in to cravings. I think a huge part of being successful is just showing up and doing what you need to do. Then doing it again. Show up and be persistent. Right?
There are only two days left in the challenge. I’m not sure where I’ll end up at weight lost, but I can already say that this challenge has been a huge success. It’s knocked a good chunk of weight and bloat off and I’m feeling a lot better than when I started. It was definitely the weight loss jumpstart I wanted and needed. Woot!
