I’m totally going to be that aunt. You know that aunt.
This is what happens when your sibling has a baby before you. Irrational excitement and the inability to stop talking about how adorable and perfect the baby is.
“I’ve never loved anything more than I love this baby.”
Isn’t she adorable?
She makes me immediately want to go improve my photography skills so I can get much better pictures than that when she is home. I think cute clothes and picture sessions are going to be a must with this cutie!
When I got the text yesterday that my sister-in-law went into labor I immediately felt such a rush of excitement. It was unlike anything I’d felt before and I was so excited about meeting my new niece. Until that point in the day I’d had a really bad day for several reasons. But once I new the baby was coming that all fled away like it didn’t matter. Because it didn’t. What really matters is family and the ones you love.
I’n incredibly excited for my brother and his growing family. My heart gets to expand with each new member and it’s grown a ton in the past year. As all my brothers grow up and we get married and have children this love will only continue to grow. I’m blessed to be able to live in the same city so I get to experience this.
So far, being an aunt is pretty dang awesome!
I honestly don’t remember what I was doing in that second picture. Perhaps it was sympathetic cries? She didn’t want to every close her mouth or stop crying and it was oddly cute. She had to express her displeasure with the current situation in her world!
I ended up at the hospital yesterday for almost 8 hours trying to be helpful and supportive to everyone is there. And you know what? I can’t wait to go back today and see that sweet crying face and all those happy family members.
