A lot of people want to know if products and MLM companies like AdvoCare are a scam. It’s hard to separate the fact from fiction when you have very enthusiastic people in your face telling you how amazing something is and how you need to try it ASAP. If you want to find out if anything is a scam or not then you need to do independent research. Generally this means you have to take to the web and search out if AdvoCare is a scam or not.
Let me give you a hint on what you’ll find: people saying yes and no.
Is AdvoCare a scam?
AdvoCare is not a scam. It’s a multi-level marketing company that sells health related supplements and products. It’s been around since 1993 and it’s still one of the biggest MLM companies around. They have many products available but are most well known for their weight loss challenge the 24 Day Challenge and their energy drink Spark. These are the products that I first heard about and the first ones I tried as well.
Here’s the thing. A company that has been in business for over 20 years isn’t a scam. It’s a network marketing company which means some people succeed with the business and others don’t. It’s a company that makes products for health and weight loss which means some people succeed and others don’t. Sounds familiar, right?
Does AdvoCare work?
The reason it is often called and scam is because of the effectiveness of the products. The main problem is that the results you achieve with AdvoCare involve a lot of factors. Your effort, how well you follow the program, your body’s response… all of these things matter in the effectiveness.
I had great results on the cleanse and lost weight on the 24 Day Challenge. You can find hundreds or even thousands of other people online who have had similar or better results with these products. They clearly work when used correctly. Because everyone is different and sees different results with the same actions, these things might not work as well for you. That’s how life is sometimes.
AdvoCare False Claims
The problem with AdvoCare and many MLM companies is that untrained distributors are the ones representing the products. That means you can often come across people spouting ridiculous ideas and false claims about the product. I’ve heard some AdvoCare distributors say some very unreasonable things which made me avoid trying anything from AdvoCare for a long time. While the company doesn’t condone or encourage distributors to make false claims, it does happen. This is something you need to watch out for and make sure you are evaluating the product and ingredients and official claims with your own brain.
Is AdvoCare as a business a scam?
A lot of the problem with people thinking AdvoCare is a scam is because it’s a network marketing company. When you sign up to be a distributor you have to network and market to make the business work for you.
Let’s be real – it is hard to recruit people to mlm companies. On average people only recruit 1.6 people into a business like this. That’s great but it’s not going to produce the huge income you are told you can get when you sign up. That income is generally earned by people who have been in the business for years or even decades.
To succeed with AdvoCare or any similar business you have to recruit and sponsor a lot of people beneath you. That’s hard for a lot of people which is why many claim “the business doesn’t work”. That’s not true, it’s just hard to make it work. I became a member to get a discount so signing up others hasn’t been my focus but I can see how it could be a great business for super outgoing people!
What I Think About AdvoCare
Obviously I’m a fan of AdvoCare. In fact, I liked some of their products like Spark so much that I signed up to be a distributor so I could get discounted products. (I love a good discount or deal… I consider my AdvoCare membership similar to paying a yearly fee for my Sam’s Club membership.)
It’s the only product I’ve found that has been an effective energy drink and cleanse option for me. While I haven’t tried all their products, I know some are less effective than others. Even in my own experience, I had great results on the cleanse and less exciting results on the 24 Day Challenge. I think some of the products they offer aren’t that great and others are pretty amazing. It’s definitely a mix which is to be expected by any company that has a deep product line.
Lots of people get amazing AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge results. The results you get can often depend on how much effort you put into it and how well your body responds to your actions. One of these things you can control, the other you can’t. You can potentially have great results on AdvoCare which is why a lot of people try it. If you’d like to try AdvoCare, whether just Spark or the 24 Day Challenge, let me know! I’m happy to answer any questions honestly.
