Tips For A Successful AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge
If you are planning to do the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge, then congrats! Lots of people have seen amazing results on the challenge and hopefully you will be one of them. If you are getting ready to start the challenge there are lots of things you can do to set yourself up for a successful 24 days.
What is the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge?
The AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge is a 24 day comprehensive supplementation and nutrition program designed to give your body the jumpstart it needs to help you reach your goals. Most people use it for a weight loss jumpstart because the results usually lead to weight loss (see some success stories).
Generally with the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge you can expect to lose anywhere between 5 to 20 pounds depending on your starting weight, weight needed to lose, and effort. I personally lost 13.5 pounds when I did the challenge and felt amazing afterward. I was less bloated, felt lighter, and was so happy with my results!
Tips for a successful AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge
Here are a few things you’ll want to do to get the most out of your AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge.
1. Read the instructions.
Getting prepared to succeed with the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge means you should read all the instructions carefully. In a lot of situations you can skip instructions and figure things out on your own, but this is a case where you should read all the instructions. You want to follow the challenge instructions exactly so make sure you take time to read and understand what you will be doing on the challenge.
2. Get prepared.
Being prepared for the challenge is the most important part in being successful. Before you start the challenge take an afternoon to make a grocery list and go shopping. Stock up on healthy foods approved for the challenge like lean proteins, veggies, fruits, eggs, nuts, hummus, and similar. Do a food prep where you wash and chop the veggies, bake chicken and other proteins, and boil some eggs. Cook a few meals a head of time that you can use during the week for lunches if that helps you. Getting everything ready before you start the challenge will help you have the most successful experience. It’s a lot easier to stick to the plan when you have everything all ready and don’t have to think about it!
3. Commit to the challenge.
By this I mean make the decision to really follow the instructions exactly. You’re paying money and making the decision to do something healthy for yourself. Once you’ve made the investment to do the challengecommit to doing it the best way possible. Tell people around you that you are doing the challenge. Write down the steps and days on a big wall calendar. Blog about the 24 Day AdvoCare challenge. Get a group to sign up and do the challenge with you. Do whatever you need to do to hold yourself accountable and be committed to completing the challenge.
4. Remove temptations.
Before you do the challenge you should remove as many temptations from your life as possible. Remove alcohol and sweets and chips from your house while you are doing the challenge. Removing these temptations will make it so much easier to complete the challenge. It’s only 10 days so you’ll definitely be able to last that long without those temptations.
5. Measure yourself.
Before you start the challenge… take your measurements! You’ll definitely know it works no matter what, but it helps to have concrete measurements to use to evaluate the challenge results. Weigh yourself and take your measurements in inches before you start. Using more than one measuring stick will help you evaluate your results without getting focused on one. You’ll be thrilled that you’ve lost pounds and inches off your body!
6. Drink lots of water.
Drinking water is crucial while you are doing the challenge. It helps to stop your hunger and flush your body of all the bad stuff. Keep water with you 24/7 during the challenge and drink it often. Drinking more water will stop you from feeling hungry or getting into the mood to eat while bored. It also helps when you do feel hungry and want to wait a while until the next meal. During the challenge I drink between 100 and 120 ounces of water a day.
7. Drink fiber quickly.
A lot of people dislike the Fiber drink on AdvoCare because it’s hard to drink at first. The citrus flavor can be pulpy and will get thick if you let it sit too long. I recommend getting the Peaches n Cream flavor. If you end up with the citrus, then plan to mix it quickly and drink it quickly. Mix it with the smallest amount of water necessary and then drink more water later if needed. It’s not the most fun part of the experience but it’s super effective!
It’s so important to exercise during the challenge to get the best results. Daily exercise is super important so you’ll want to make sure to schedule it into your schedule each day.
9. Stay busy.
Staying busy during the challenge is very helpful. A lot of us eat while we are bored or have down time, so keeping busy helps remove this temptation. Plan lots of activities during the challenge. Focus on activities that are active and involve movement to get the most bang out of your buck during the challenge. Since you’ll have your food prepped and ready to go you should be able to eat well and stick to a busy lifestyle during the challenge. It’s definitely been helpful to me to stay busy and not allow myself a lot of bored downtime around food!
10. Adopt the habits.
When the challenge ends, don’t go cray and jump back into your old habits completely. Adopt the habits that you had during the challenge while loosening up a bit. Have splurges and eat out for special occasions, but don’t dive straight back into those bad habits that got you to a bad place to begin with. Continue to eat clean and try to keep a more balanced approach to eating after you are done with the challenge. Also consider trying the 24 Day Challenge or using other AdvoCare products to support your healthier lifestyle after the challenge.
Hopefully these tips will get you through the 10 day challenge with no problems. It’s definitely a great tool to have in your overall wellness toolkit and is something you can do multiple times per year if you want.
