Four Things

by Mary

I love making recipes that I see circulating around my favorite food blogs. Remember the dough balls? Yeah. When other bloggers are all doing something it makes me want to do it too. Call me a follower, it’s okay.

So there is a four things q&a type thing going around that I first saw via Janetha who got it from Jessica who got it from Caitlin who got it from Gracie. I think. However it went, I wanted to do it too, since I’m just counting down time until it’s cheesecake making time. :)

1. Four TV shows that I watch:

  • The Office
  • 30 Rock
  • Glee
  • Daily Show & Colbert Report (always watched together)

2. Four things that I’m passionate about:

  • Writing
  • Food and cooking (learning more!)
  • My family and friends <3
  • Learning new things/self improvement

3. Four words/phrases I use a lot:

  • Awesome
  • Amazing
  • Okay
  • What?

4. Four things I’ve learned from the past:

  • Life is awesome.
  • People are good; people who love you are best.
  • Good food is worth the effort.
  • When you take care of your body you feel better.

5. Four places I would like to go:

  • London
  • Japan
  • Hawaii
  • Memphis (yay going home!)

6. Four things I did yesterday:

  • Blogged
  • Called my mom
  • Watched LOTR 2
  • Starting planning our next step in life

7. Four things I am looking forward to:

  • New Year’s Eve tonight!
  • The gym going back to regular hours + zumba.
  • Cheesecake
  • Getting married in October. :)

8. Four things I love about winter:

  • Snow! Especially on Christmas.
  • All the holidays and gatherings.
  • Snowboarding!
  • Hot chocolate.

I totally miss winter. I know I should be enjoying the summer now but it makes me so sad that I don’t get any snow or Christmas things! And since this is the time of year I normally go snowboarding I’m really missing that.

However, I’m super excited about tonight! It’s going to be so fun! :)

What are your New Year’s Eve plans?

Ooh. Im here at a slow day at work (nye!) so I’ll do it too.
1) Four tv shows I watch – its hard to pick just four.. Right now it’s top chef, intervention, mad men (still on beginning of 2nd season no one give anything away!), desperate housewives. But there are a lot more and I watch all those you listed except not the last 2 so much anymore. I love the office! And 30 rock too! Glee is only ok.
2) four things im passionate about – books, house music, writing, food. – those are things I can definitely gush about!!
3) four words/phrases I use a lot – YAY! (that’s #1!), LOL, im bored, fun
4) four things I’ve learned from the past – don’t let people walk over you & take advantage; even though you have to be super careful about others, its important to trust people too – don’t get TOO jaded; things are good in moderation, don’t go overboard or underboard; always try and have fun.
5) wow this is getting long.. Four places I’d like to go – egypt, tokyo, an african safari, europe.
6) Four things I did yesterday: went to work, worked out, met someone in real life I knew from twitter/online, watched tv/movie
7) four things I’m looking forward to: being an auntie when my niece is born in a few months; sleeping in (lol); having a nice looking apartment one day; umm I really don’t know. Im kinda of goal-less right now..
8) four things I love about winter – winter?! Really? Ew. I really don’t love winter, I dislike it. Umm ok: Looking forward to summer (lol); christmas decorations; eggnog; watching the rest of the country get snow storms & freezing weather while it’s only just rainy and chilly here (yay)
Your new years eve already happened. Happy new year! Tonite I’m going out dancing.

Mary! I hope you’re doing fabulously. I just went back and read a whole bunch of old posts from you and got all current on your life. I can’t believe you’re getting married THIS YEAR! Crazy. Perhaps my boyfriend will propose? We have our 3 year anniversary this year!
You’re looking happy and healthy and dealing with the struggles of being an expat better than you think you are, give yourself credit. Give yourself credit for exercising, sticking with weightloss and being awesome.
Happy new year!
xxx
