Oyako Donburi! More Hummus!

by Mary

Breakfast was typical, had scrambled eggs and toast. Used the toast to try three kinds of jam – blackcurrant, three berry, and raspberry.

Breakfast, Feb 5

I like food I can play with, so this lunch was perfect for me.

Hummus and Crackers, Lunch, Feb 5

Crackers with pumpkin and kumara hummus with crumbled sundried tomato feta and yellow peppers slices. Yumm. And an apple cut up for some sweetness.

Then I had Oyako Donburi for dinner, prepared by Kepa and his mom. ;)

Oyako Donburi, Dinner, Feb 5

After dinner I went to a movie and had an ice cream cone with one scoop of cookies and cream ice cream and a couple handfuls of popcorn. ;)

What is oyako donburi? Whats in that besides peas and broccoli? It looks interesting.

You would have to ask Kepa for sure… I’ll try to find out. There was peas, broccoli, cauliflower, chicken, and then rice underneath all that. I think that’s it. Not sure totally what it is.

Yum! The picture of Oyako Donburi has sent me scurrying off to google to find a recipe. Looks delicious!
