I guess this is the month update! I’ve done this “challenge” for a month now. To be honest, although I’ve posted about it weekly and do weigh ins, I haven’t really put much effort into it. I think that shows in my results although I am still happy to be down from my highest weight in years. Believe me – HAPPY.
But all this is just to say I think month 2 (it is a 3 month challenge) is time to step it up. I’ve gotten my eating down pretty well. I’m not stuffing my face or eating bad things for the most part (hey, we all slip up). I have adapted to the no bread thing pretty well. Now it is time for me to kick up the exercise part. That won’t be hard at all. I really love to workout, once I get myself going.
I’ve also been thinking about doing something crazy/awesome/wild/fun like biking across the country. Perhaps that is because I’ve been biking so much this week because of the FabFatties 50 mile challenge (which I will finish today!). Perhaps it is because I want an adventure. Perhaps it is because I need a BIG goal to train for and work towards. I’m all well and happy with completing 5ks and doing a triathlon one of these days, but something big sounds cool. I have no reason not to… my job is not something that would stop me. I am not overly scared of the safety factor. It is a big DREAM right now, but I am hoping by next year I can make it a reality. Seriously, doesn’t that sound cool?
Anyway, if you are reading this post you probably want to know what the scale says.

So, almost 8 pounds for the month. Not GREAT but not shabby. It’s that slow, melt off like a snowman in the sun kind of weight loss. I will take it.
