2013 Holiday Gift Guide

November 27, 2013 by Mary

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure for details.

It’s Wednesday before Thanksgiving and what am I doing? Making my holiday shopping list! Between the upcoming sales and the free time this week I figured it would be a good time to at least make a plan for my holiday shopping.

I decided to create a Holiday Gift Guide for all of you so I could share my favorite healthy living gifts from throughout the year! I wrote a weight loss Christmas gift guide a while ago, so let’s call this version 2. Everything on this list is either something I’ve tried or am dying to try.

If you’re looking for a gift for a loved one or yourself then maybe this will give you some ideas. I hope this guide brings cheer to your life. Enjoy!

Wishing you all the happiness and blessings this holiday season! – Mary

Healthy Living Stocking Stuffers

UNREAL Candy – $10+

christmas gift idea - unreal candy

We always got candy in our stockings but now you can you can give candy without all the junk. UNREAL makes tasty candy without the preservatives, artificials, GMO’s, and more. Plus it’s less sugary than regular candy. I’m a huge fan of the UNREAL Candy – Peanut Butter Cups.

Target socks – $1 – $5

christmas gift idea - target socks

I love Xhilaration® Juniors 6 Single Low Cut Mix and Match socks from Target above all other socks. These low cut mix and match socks are my absolute favorite for their fun colors, breathability, and stickiness – they never slip! After trying many different kinds of low cut socks I’ve decided these are the best and the only ones I buy. You can get them at Target in packs of 6 or individually.

Chapstick – $1 – $20

christmas gift idea - peppermint chapstick

Everyone loves Chapstick during the winter – it’s fun and actually useful! Since the weather is dry you can keep your lips protected and enjoy fun flavors. My current favorite is the limited edition Chapstick Candy Cane, Peppermint.

Amazon Gift Cards – $5+

christmas gift idea - amazon gift card

Y’all know I link to Amazon a lot because I search for and buy almost everything there! An Amazon gift card is a great stocking stuffer because everyone knows and trusts Amazon and can use the gift card to purchase something they really want or need. When in doubt, a generic Amazon gift card is the perfect gift.

Ispoon Kitchen Stylus – $7christmas gift idea - ispoon stylus

For those of us who use an iPad for recipes in the kitchen this spoon is the perfect solution to messy hands! You can navigate through recipes in your tablet and keep things clean with this wooden tasting and mixing spoon with integrated stylus.

Jokari Portion Control Nut Bowl and Scoop – $5.75

christmas gift idea - nuts portion scoop

This little portion control nut bowl and scoop is a great idea for anyone that loves nuts but wants to keep portions in check (hard to do with yummy nuts!). The lid doubles as a 1 serving size scoop and the clear bowl has lines that indicate 1 or 2 snack-size servings of nuts, plus they are dishwasher safe. Perfect for nut lovers!

Healthy Living Christmas Gifts

Fitbit One Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker – $99

christmas gift idea - fitbit one

The FitBit One is so cool! It tracks steps, distance, calories burned and stairs climbed, monitors sleep, and then translates all the data to your computer so you can set goals and view your progress. I was given one earlier this year by a friend and love it (review soon). It’s great for making you more conscious of your daily activity so you move more and improve your life cycles. Highly recommended for the geeky fitness people in your life or anyone that wants to learn more about their daily activities so they can more easily incorporate movement.

Get it on Amazon: Fitbit One Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker, Black

EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale – $35

christmas gift idea - eatsmart scale

This has been my scale of choice for several years. Eatsmart has developed some great technology that offers accurate readings with step-on technology so you don’t have to do the tap-and-wait dance. I love this scale because of it’s accuracy, easy to read display, and it’s style. Plus, Eatsmart guarantees all products 100% so there is no worry if you give it as a gift.

Jillian Michaels Body Revolution – $95

christmas gift idea - body revolution

As a devoted listener of the Jillian Michaels podcast I’m convinced that Body Revolution is the best at-home workout on the market right now. This gift is perfect for people that love at-home workouts, whether they want to lose weight or just get in shape. It’s more than just the DVDs as the program contains a journal, online membership, diet plan, and more.

Groceries Delivery Service – Varies

christmas gift idea - grocery delivery service

Groceries delivered to your door is the perfect gift for someone who is always saying they are too busy to shop for healthy food. Fresh Direct offers an easy solution where you can order from the online store, they deliver it in a refrigerated truck, and you enjoy the delivered food. They are very particular about quality so you are sure to get the best food that is in season. You can also get fresh, chef-made entrees to make life even easier. Make it a gift by giving a FreshDirect gift card.

Monthly Subscription Box – Varies

christmas gift idea - healthy subscription box

Monthly boxes of goodies delivered to your door is all the rage these days. It started with BirchBox (in my mind) and now there are monthly delivery boxes of every type including healthy treats. My friend Candace gets so many she is considering a blog to review them all! A subscription to a monthly service is a great gift that will keep on giving throughout the year. Here are a few options that deliver healthy goodies each month:

  • Healthy Surprise
  • Nature Box
  • Bulu Box
  • Klutch Club
  • PaleoPax

In a world where the mail is usually bills and spam it’s nice to get a treat once a month. Give this gift to keep the joy going all year round!

Enjoy! Happy Holidays!
