7 Tips for Healthy Glowing Skin
Healthy, glowing skin is a must, especially when makeup and beauty trends focus on natural beauty and enhancing our individual features.
We all want the look of dewy skin with minimal makeup, so here are our seven best tips to help you achieve healthy skin in no time.
Eat a Balanced Diet
Our diet not only has a great impact on our body and mind, it also has an impact on our skin, so it is super important to ensure your body is getting the nutrients it needs. Feeding your body healthy foods will keep your skin healthy too!
Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables daily, and also have nuts and seeds on hand to snack on. You’ll find a balanced, wholesome diet is the foundation of healthy, glowing skin.
Protect Your Skin in the Sun
Not only are skin cancers deadly and extremely terrible for your health, they also damage your skin a lot more than people realize. Sunburns and lots of tanning can increase your risks for skin cancer by massive amounts.
When outdoors, always wear a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and cover your shoulders and neck to ensure you don’t get sunburnt. In the summer months, take extra precautions and stay in the shade as much as possible to avoid sunburn. Your skin, and body, will thank you.
Consider Cosmetic Procedures
If you have deep acne scarring or sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts, perhaps you should consider cosmetic surgery procedures.
While it can be more extreme than the other suggestion, places like Cosmetic Surgery for Women offer many cosmetic options that improve skin and your overall appearance. A cosmetic surgeon will be able to give you medical advice on clear skin and will also provide personalized solutions to help you get your skin looking healthy and glowing in no time.
Don’t Smoke
While everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health, did you know it makes drastic changes to your body and appearance too?
Some of the side effects of smoking include the premature onset of wrinkles and a yellow tinge to the skin and eyes, making your skin age well beyond its years. It’s impossible to have healthy, glowing skin if you are a smoker. Smoking is bad for your skin and it’s bad for your health. Avoid it!
Drink Lots of Water
Drinking lots of water is a no brainer, but somehow many people still don’t seem to drink enough to keep skin looking healthy and fresh.
Drink a glass of water with every meal, and also have one in your work space to ensure you are sipping it throughout the day. Water helps you stay hydrated, which is crucial for healthy your skin and your overall well being. If you are struggling to drink enough water, follow these tips to drink more water every day.
Use Organic Beauty Products
Where possible, opt for natural, organic and eco-friendly beauty products that are not tested on animals. Using these products will help you feel better about what you are buying and your skin will thank you from not putting so many crazy chemicals on it.
While these products are usually a bit more expensive, they tend to last longer and they’re also much better for your skin because they do not contain the harmful toxins and chemicals of generic brands. You can tell if a beauty product is truly organic by scrutinizing the ingredients list and researching the brand before purchasing.
Fake It
Still don’t think your skin looks healthy and glowing? Don’t strip down and head into the sun just yet!
We often think tanned skin looks better on people but banned skin isn’t just for the genetically blessed! Instead of sun tanning, opt for a fake tanning product that will give your skin the bronzed finish you desire. There are many tanning products on the market that will make your skin look tanned and gorgeous without it harming your skin in the long run.

Great tips! I never thought of faking tanned skin. I think that will be more effective than sunbathing under the scrutinizing heat of the sun for long period of hours just to get tanned. Aside from drinking lots of water, I also indulge myself in watery fruits like watermelon, pineapple and mangoes. It helps me stay hydrated and keep my skin glow.
