Last week’s workout pledge was fun and sorely needed. I had not done a great cardio workout in a while and was super happy to have a reason to go try out the gym and get in a good workout.
I spent 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and then 40 on the bike. I thought about making it more of a split, jumping from machine to machine but once I got on the bike I got into a rhythm that was comfortable and I just went with it! An hour of cardio isn’t bad at all and honestly I should do it more often. I think that’s another goal for the month of june (this month has a million goals). A nice rosy glow, right? Hehe. I was lucky to be next to both a fan and a air conditioning vent, so I ended up not getting very hot at all during the workout. That’s great because I’m normally one to get overheated quickly. So keeping cool made this workout seem almost easy!

For my 60 minute cardio I decided to hike up to Grandeur Peak. Its a 6 mile roundtrip hike that gains 2619 feet in elevation. (Steep!) The trip up took me 2 hours and the trip down took 1. Just letting you know my workout pledge is done and dusted. 25 minutes on the treadmill, 25 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes on the rower.

I’ve successfully completed yet another Merry Workout Pledge. :o)
I ran for 40mins and walked for 30mins. So my total was 70mins. Not sure the mileage, but that’s okay.
And I know a few more of you participated but just didn’t email me. How did the workout pledge go for you? Got any sweaty pics to share?
