Adriana Lima’s Diet Secret: Portion Control For Fat Burning

Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima has a supermodel body, no doubt about it. The girl knows she is one of the genetically blessed and she also takes care of her body to make sure it stays in top condition for her career.  This body is part genetics, part portion control in her dieting. She has a diet secret that isn’t much of a secret: Adriana Lima uses portion control.

Portion control is her secret celebrity diet weapon. It also happens to be something that all of us need to work on in this world of over-sized meals and buffets of food.

Adriana Lima controls her portions by keeping meals in check and sizing down the size of her meals as the day progresses. She says “As the day goes on, I keep going smaller with my portions.”  She starts the day with a good breakfast and then ends by eating light.

Example of Adriana Lima’s Daily Diet

Here’s the typical day in the life of Adriana…

  • Breakfast: egg whites, oatmeal and raisins or muesli with plain yogurt and honey, along with a cup of joe and milk
  • Lunch: A portion of meat (fish, chicken or red meat) with veggies
  • Snacks: Raw veggies such as cucumbers and carrots. She does indulge her sweet tooth with chocolate too! She also has a daily spoonful of raw honey explaining “it helps your immune system.”
  • Dinner: Small salad. She says she sleeps better at night when she eats light later in the day.

Adriana Lima’s Portion Control Diet

Adriana Lima follows the “Portion Control Diet” which basically means she is allowed to eat everything she wants, but only in small bites if it is unhealthy or high in fat. That doesn’t mean she eats junk food all day; but she can have a piece of fat food or even a high calorie food as long as it is a small portion size. This portion control diet has turned her body into a fat burning machine.

Adriana also exercises every day to to stay in shape.  She does Capoeira, a Brazilian martial arts combining dance, music, aerobics and choreographed play fighting, and other cardio workouts.

With her portion control and regular exercise routine, Adriana has turned her body into a fat burning furnace. Changing your body so that it automatically burns fat is the best thing you can do for your body.

Adriana’s 2 Tips For Healthy Living

In almost everything you read about Adriana Lima there were two things she always mentioned when talking about dieting or healthy living:

  1. Lots of water.
  2. Plenty of sleep.

While those might seem like simple ideas, they are the basic building blocks of a healthy life. Adriana Lima knows that she needs not only healthy food and plenty of exercise, but lots of water and plenty of sleep to stay healthy. It appears she has the healthy lifestyle down to a science and the world of Victoria Secret Angel lovers thank her for that dedication.

    And I can’t believe how much better I feel when I drink enough water! I didnt feel like I was dragging so bad during the day! I’ve been soda free for 2 weeks. Quite the accomplishment for me.

    Lol. I would starve too, gotta be honest. But she does have a good idea with te portion control and eating less later in the day when your body doesn’t need as much energy. Those are pretty good ideas.

    I always that once I get to my goal weight, things will be easy. But speaking to all my friends and family that are a healthy weight, I realize that they have to work at it too.
