Last weekend I decided to try to vlog more so that I could work on my video editing skills! It’s an area that needs a lot of work so vlogging is a fun way to share what we are doing and work on those skills.
Last weekend our weekend was super packed with activity like always but I wanted to bring you guys along!
Blogging & Affiliate Marketing
I spent a couple hours reading about affiliate marketing and going through the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course.
I decided to take the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course because I want to go from the hobby level of income to the professional level of blogging income with my blog and youtube.
I’ve tiptoed the line on doing this so many times in the past and often stopped pushing when I started seeing success. I’ve finally accepted that it’s worth the effort and worth the investment to grow.
I love creating content and connecting people to things and products that improve their lives. I do it for fun and would do it without getting paid, but if I have the option to do this in a way that better supports my family, why wouldn’t I take the opportunity?
I’m thankful that I had a few hours in-between all of our social activities to spend time working on growing and learning. This will be a large part of my weekends going forward because I have to put in the time and effort to grow my online income.
Anastasia At The Orpheum
Unfortunately, you can’t take photos and video during broadway shows so I didn’t get to show off how incredible it was to see Anastasia!
My bestie has season tickets and whenever she can’t use them she offers them to me. (This is how I know she’s the best and will be a best friend for life, seriously!) I took my husband’s youngest cousin who was in town and we had a fantastic time.
If you have a chance to see this live when it visits your city, I highly recommend it!
The Art Project
We visited The Art Project in Memphis for a fun birthday party with friends! The Art Project is a great space for kids where they can make art and leave the mess. they have all sorts of paints, glitter, glue, chalk, sand, and more for kids to play with. Then they also have an area for snacks or food if there is a party.
I’ve been wanting to check this place out when Penny got a little bit older but since we were invited to this party for some older kids we decided to try it out!
She has great gross motor skills and once she figured out how the art supplies worked she had a blast running from page to page with a paintbrush in hand (and then immediately dropped on the floor since we haven’t learned cleaning up yet).
I fell in love with The Art Project and plan on visiting again with Penny for some art free play! It’s so nice to be able to go somewhere and let her play and not worry about cleaning up the mess later.
Birthday Parties
After the birthday party at The Art Project we actually had more birthday parties to attend! These were family birthday parties for all the June birthday people so it was a relaxed time spent with family.
Overall it was a fantastic weekend spent with fun people we love!
