Checking In: It’s Assessment Time!

September 18, 2009 by Mary

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure for details.

After two weeks, it’s time to check in.

Here are my thoughts on my progress at Green Mountain so far.

And if you really are just too lazy to watch it [ :( ]  then here are my results:

  • flexibility: +.5 in
  • inches: – 3.75
  • pounds: -5  [236]

Meals:
Breakfast Friday 918 Muffin and YogurtLunch Friday 918 Asian Bean Salad and PitaSnack Friday 918 Cottage Cheese and BananaDinner Friday 918 Chicken Dessert Friday 918 Ice Cream and Banana

Moves:

1 hr walking

Yep that’s it. I’ve been tired and achy and coughing. Not much movement and the weather hasn’t inspired me to do much more. Hopefully I’ll wake up tomorrow feeling better again. :)

    It sounds like you are doing great so far, and you’ve only been there a week. Good work on the exercise. I am sure when you get to feeling better you will do even more. Hopefully tomorrow will bring you better health!

    Hey chica! You are so freaking cute & I totally love that hat! Sorry you are sickypoo…my daughter sounds the same way right now. Good to see you are taking care of yourself and I think 1 hour of movement is pretty good for being sick.
    I think it great that you are assessing your progress on so much more than the number on a scale. You seem so positive and that is awesome!

    How do you test your flexibility?

    Oh, and looking at your food pics makes me hungry! but it also makes me think that you are eating normal, real food…very much like what I eat most days. Healthy food can be normal food! Love it!

    Thanks for blogging your adventure!

    @Foodie
    Thanks!! I love that hat too… its my favorite. :)

    @MOM!!
    Thanks for reading and commenting Mom. :) I love you!

    @Jody
    Thanks, that really means a lot!

    @Jen
    Thanks! You test your flexibility with a sit and reach test. Have you ever done one? I remember we did them in school every year. You sit with legs out straight then reach your hands over and out to see how far you can reach. The farther you can reach the more flexible you are!

    Sorry my food pics make you hungry! I have that happen to me sometimes when I read blogs, but I figured it would be nice to show that the food is real, unprocessed, and delicious. Plus it will help me remember the things that I loved so I can make them later as well as what proper portions are!

    @Fitcetera
    Hahaha, thank you. :) I’m glad the food is so good here too. It could have been a lot worse.

    @Miz
    Thanks Carla. I really am comfortable with who I am so I’m glad it shows. It took a long while to get to this point but I’m gonna rock it. :)

    Yay! You are doing awesome. And congrats on the weight loss too. I love that you get that is really is secondary to changing the way you think and your relationship to food. Thank you for sharing, you are helping others by doing so. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

    Those are fantastic results, and for only 2 weeks! The food sure looks good too :)

    @Kat
    Thanks! It really shouldn’t be an isn’t about weight loss. That may or may not happen for me but what I concerned about it getting a healthy relationship with food and making sure I am active. :)

    @SeaShore
    Thanks! 2 weeks is a good chunk of time to make something happen!
