Coming April 2018: A Merry Baby

November 6, 2017 by Mary

If you follow me on social media you already know what’s coming….

Our first little one!

We announced it publicly announced two weeks ago after I finally told my work and all family had been informed. It made it really really real.

And funny enough the little one’s anticipated due date is in April 2018, within a week of both of our birthdays! April is going to be an even busier month from here on out each year.

I’m 16 weeks along now and I’ve known since week 4 so I’ve gone through a lot of changes and emotions and am settled on happy and excited and feeling good.

Weeks 4-12 were not fun and I decided I hate pregnancy during that period (sorry kiddo). Between constant cramps, nauseau all the time, general lack of any energy and some other unpleasant symptoms I just really hated the experience of being pregnant. I kept asking why anyone does this when it feels so miserable every day. In the beginning it felt like I had been pregnant for years instead of weeks.

Thankfully that started to subside at week 12 and by week 14 I felt relatively decent. I guess the second trimester really is the golden period of of pregnancy!

Now that I’m feeling better we are starting to plan ahead for real…

I just made a baby registry.

We are planning a gender reveal for next month.

We’re saving money for the birth and daycare and all that fun stuff that we haven’t really figured out but have a vague idea about it.

Basically, I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m working on figuring it out. :)

Congratulations! My babies are 15 and 20, but I loved every minute of every stage (even some parts of pregnancy!). You will too.

I haven’t popped over here in a while, and OMG!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so very happy to you. I actually started reading your blog 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my youngest little one. Now he is a big time kindergartener. Again, congratulations! <3

Thank you!! I obviously don’t pop in that often either. Life is going well but it’s very busy and blogging took a backseat to other things. I may blog more about pregnancy and my new little one since I’ve always loved having a record of my life via the blog and this is such an exciting new phase!

Congrats on your little one being in kindergarten… they grow up so fast right?!?!
