Easy Lunchboxes Giveaway update: This contest is now closed! You can buy the lunchboxes on Amazon.

Today’s awesome product is the Easy Lunchboxes set from Easy Lunchboxes. Started by a mom named Kelly who wanted a better alternative for packing lunches, thes bento boxes and bags are a great way to pack up lunch for busy kids and adults on the go. Keep reading this Easy Lunchboxes review to learn why I fell in love with Easy Lunchboxes.

Reasons Why Easy Lunchboxes Rock

There are a ton of reasons why I love the Easy Lunchbox system and think these bento boxes are the perfect solution for packing lunch.

When I first got my shipment of EasyLunchboxes. When I started my new job I started taking my lunch every day (part of my Operation Wedding Sexy Goals). I was taking it in random containers, plastic bags, ziploc bags, plastic wrap – anything I could find. It wasn’t convenient and it wasn’t pretty.

I looked around for a lunchbox that would help me get organized with my lunches but couldn’t find anything in my area that was exactly what I wanted. (I actually had trouble finding many lunchboxes at all). I mentioned this online and Jen hooked me up with Kelly, the CEO of Easy Lunchboxes. She sent me a free container set and lunch bag and it’s changed my life for the better.

I seriously looove these lunchbox containers. Keep reading for the specific reasons why I love these bento boxes.

  • Easy Lunchboxes make packing easy. Having all my food in one container rather than multiple bags and tupperware makes the process really easy. I put everything in one container, take everything from one container, wash one container – it makes it so much simpler!
  • Easy Lunchboxes help with portion control. I have a tendency to pack and eat too much for lunch even though I’m perfectly satisfied with a light lunch.
  • Easy Lunchboxes are kid friendly. After bringing these in my lunchbox to work for several weeks my boss bought some for her daughter in kindergarten. She reported back saying she LOVED them and they made packing lunch a lot easier each morning. I was thrilled to introduce their family to a product that made life easier.
  • Easy Lunchboxes are convenient. They make putting lunch together so much easy but they are also microwave and dishwasher safe which makes them very convenient too.
  • Easy Lunchboxes are healthy. Another benefit is that they are free from any chemicals or things that could harm you or make your food taste bad. You don’t have to worry about gross things leaking into your food and instead can focus on eating the more nutritional food possible.

Downside to Easy Lunchboxes: My only problem with them so far is one of user error – I like to fill the areas with too much food and then it makes it hard to close. It can be hard to close when you have uneven things like baby carrots sticking in all sorts of directions. The solution here is really to work on my portion control and pack the lunches better. But other than that? These are amazing eco-friendly lunchboxes and I highly, high recommend them if you take your lunch or send kids off with lunch every day.

I’ll be honest – one of the coolest things about being a blogger is getting free stuff. I don’t accept just any free stuff – I turn a lot of offers down. Getting things free just because I’m a blogger seemed cool at first but I now only accept offers for products to review when I think I will really and truly love the product. If I think it will be useful in my own life I say yes. Getting free stuff that I actually need? Getting stuff that is something I was looking for and couldn’t find to buy? That is the coolest. Thank you so much Easy Lunchboxes for reaching out and sending me the Easy Lunchbox set for review!

You know, I think the hardest thing for me with dieting is planning ahead, and proper portion control. These things seem like a great tool to do both – and the website says they are designed with adult portion control in mind! That’s pretty cool if you ask me.

  3. Natalie says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:05 pm

I love the idea that you can put more than one container in the bag OR use the extra space for other things like drinks or ice.

  4. Michelle @ The Running Jewess says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:05 pm

I never thought to put a frozen water bottle in my lunchbox rather than an ice pack, that is a fantastic idea. These lunchboxes would be great, I can throw a serving of fruits and veggies in with a healthy entree. Kind of like the new MyPlate concept.

These lunchboxes are a spectacular idea!!!! I too pack my lunch everyday and usually end up using a lot of little baggies for different portions of my lunch, these lunchboxes are a great way to get rid of them. Very environmentally friendly.
One of the many cool things I learned from the website was the idea of getting rid of odors in the lunchbox….soaking a piece of bread in white distilled vinegar…because we all know sometimes our lunch leaves an odor we can’t get rid of.
    Thanks for the post!!!

  9. Margee says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:08 pm

My wife and I were just looking for lunch boxes yesterday! I pack lunches for us every day, and there are so many different ziplocks and containers – it’s hard to find a bag for it all.

It looks like these are great. I was hoping to find a lunch box that has sealed compartments, and these look like they do! I love that they have a lunch pail to go with it. That’s fantastic!

  10. Lisa says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I love that they designed it for portions. It looks like such a cool idea! I need something like this because I take my lunch EVERY day to work. I rarely eat out Mon-Fri because I’m trying to control my portions.

  11. Cynthia (It All Changes) says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I love the bag holds three containers so I can mix and match what I think I want for the day and then eat what I actually do want.

It fun to read cleaning the bag only requires vinegar and bread. No washing, no chemicals. Just fun.

  12. Claire says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I liked the tip about a slice of bread soaked in vinegar and left in the lunchbox overnight getting rid of funky odors. I’ll have to try that.

  13. Kerry says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:16 pm

I like that the bag is sized to fit the container perfectly so it stays flat and doesn’t topple over. That happens to me all the time with my current lunchbag. Neat product.

  14. KCLAnderson (Karen) says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:17 pm

My husband takes his lunch and snacks to work every day and needs a more efficient system, especially because he often rides his motorcycle!! This would definitely do the trick! I was glad to learn that the plastic used to make the containers is free from lead, vinyl (PVC is vinyl, so there is no need to differentiate…and yes, I used to work in the plastics industry so I know ;-), phthalates, or Bisphenol A (BPA).

  15. Carrie says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:24 pm

well mostly I learned that I need to eat lunch, because all the pictures of what people packed in their containers were making me so hungry!

Also they have a neat trick about putting yogurt in one of their containers- put a piece of wax paper over it before putting the top on to keep from spilling.

  16. Colleen K. says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:24 pm

I didn’t know you could cut wax paper and use it to keep thick liquids like yogurt from leaking! That’s pretty cool. These boxes look pretty tempting to me, as I’m often that “bag lady” who brings her lunch in a white plastic bag and tons of differently-sized tupperwares and leaking ziplock bags everyday. Nice review!

  17. Jan R. says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:27 pm

I actually was thinking of buying a set when I have the money. My daughter starts going to a new daycare next month and I need to start sending her with lunches. I like that they are eco-friendly and that I don’t have to find several containers to pack a lunch. And they are BPA free, which is awesome because there are so many concerns when it comes to using plastic products to store/package food. Looks like a great product! :o)

  18. Clare @ Clare Cooks! says

    June 16, 2011 at 12:28 pm

  20. Sheila says

I never thought of putting a cooler bag into the fridge before putting food in it. Makes sense that it would make the bag even colder, good idea!

    June 16, 2011 at 12:41 pm

Love this giveaway. With a hubby that packs a lunch daily and a toddler beginning pre school this would definitely come in handy. A cool thing I learned on the site it how to get the smell out of your lunch box’s with a slice of bread soaked in vinegar overnight. Also putting the wax paper over the compartment with yogurt is awesome too.

    June 16, 2011 at 1:12 pm

These are awesome! I couldn’t believe how economical they are compared to so many other bento-type lunchboxes like this. I learned that you can fit two containers in the cooler with room for an icepack or bottle of water. I’m in nursing school, and will have some long work hours and commutes very soon. The ability to pack two totally different kind of meals for those 12+ hour days sounds good to me.

I was very happy to read on the website that the lids were easy for kids to remove…although I may not share with my kids :) Loved the lunch gallery as well….got some good ideas for new/different lunches.

  29. Heather says

    June 16, 2011 at 1:52 pm

I would love one of these lunch boxes! Right now, we use leftover lunch meat containers for lunches and they’re not incredibly organized. Would love this!

  30. Heather says

    June 16, 2011 at 1:53 pm

Oh, I forgot to mention something I learned…my original reason for loving them was the organization/convenience…knowing they are BPA-free makes it even better!

  31. Jessica says

huh! I learned that these are right in my price range to just buy some if I don’t win the giveaway :)

  32. Heather says

    June 16, 2011 at 2:18 pm

I love how these have built in portion control. I struggle with this all the time and every little trick helps!

  33. Zoe P. says

    June 16, 2011 at 2:38 pm

I love that you can make it leak free by adding the little glad press and seal or wax paper — so much easier than taking all of those big leak proof containers I usually bring to lunch!

  34. Susan says

    June 16, 2011 at 2:45 pm

In the last 7 months I have completely changed the way my family lives and eats. I have lost 95 pounds and gained a new perspective on portions! I dread packing lunches for school and am always so happy for summer because I get a vacation from it. These will help make it fun for the kids along with making sure the portions are within reason. Love that my hubby could pack all 3 containers in the lunch bag as he works 10-12 hours a day and needs more room than a standard lunch box. Also love that they are eco-friendly!!

  35. nikkianne says

    June 16, 2011 at 2:47 pm

One cool thing they mentioned in lunch packing tips is that you can put yogurt in one of the compartments and keep it from leaking into other compartments by placing wax paper over the top. This is an AWESOME tip for people who don’t buy single serving foods.

I also love the fact that they’re microwave/dishwasher friendly! I’m already planning out meals I can take with me on the go!

  36. jennifer says

    June 16, 2011 at 3:23 pm

What an awesome set of lunch boxes! I am pleased to learn that not only are the eco-friendly, but they are free of BPA, Vinyl, lead, and PVC! These things make it hard to find good lunch boxes, so it is awesome to find of a kind that does not include them in manufacturing!

Thanks for sharing with us Mary. :)

I just checked out this website and I am in love!!! These look super convenient and easy to use. I also learned that the container sizes are 2.5 cups, 3/4 cup, & 1/2 cup. What an easy way to measure out food for those of us watching what we eat and tracking everything! Great find!!!!

I have been interested in this product since you first mentioned it. I am going back to school and want to continue on my new healthy lifestyle. I think these lunch boxes are such a great way to pack lunch. I love that they have three compartments because it encourages people to pack a veggie or a salad in addition to their main item. Also, the website said that it is both dishwasher and microwave safe which makes them even better!

These are fantastic! We have picky eater, everything separate, and familiar. We want to be greener, and make sure school lunch is easy to access in a short amount of time….. His current lunch bag set-up for school: a square plastic container, no lid, that houses the little round plastic cups topped with press n seal (the lids on won’t fit in the square holder) and a plastic bag of a misc item of the day. And the square bottom container….well it is the one that sits on the ice pack to keep everything “stable”. Once I did find a small three compartment reusable cup that I thought was the saving grace…..the lid was so tight that he “exploded” his lunch all over the lunch room trying to remove it!! Press n seal from then on.

I did learn a lot from the website that I love about this system…..but even better, I learned 136+ lunch ideas!!!
    These are fantastic.

Great giveaway! And what a fantastic website they have! So much great info! Did you see all those resources for healthy recipe sites?! I love also the tip about putting the bag in the fridge the night before to get it nice and cold. But my fave part of what I learned from that site? That Sam Harris still looks and sings as great as ever – I had a huge crush on him when he was first on Star Search eons ago. Yes, I am dating myself with that remark! Those videos on her site are a hoot!

It’s funny, I was thinking about these lunch boxes today as I’ve recently started toting my lunch to work again. I’m trying to get back into eating healthy and I typically just throw things in my work bag. I hate using multiple ziploc bags b/c they truly are not that environmentally friendly and they lack a protective barrier, often resulting in squished food that ends up being less appealing later in the day. These lunchboxes seem to be the perfect solution!

What a cool give away :) I learned lots of things from the website but most of which have been mentioned. But I will list a few that were my favorites: they are dishwasher safe/microwave safe (LOVE THAT), they are stackable, they are BPA free, they are eco-friendly, and they are AFFORDABLE (LOVE THIS TOO) I also loved the lunch gallery. YUMMY!!! Thanks :)

Top and bottom rack safe in the dishwasher sold me.

I like the addition of wax paper to make compartments leak proof.

These are so cool! I learned about the vinegar soaked bread trick for taking out smells.

I like that you can buy more of the “lunchboxes” seperate from the cooler bag.

You can put yogurt in a section, but you’ll need to cut out a piece of wax paper, slightly bigger than the section you put it in to help seal the container!

    Awesome product!!

Oh this look like they would be just the thing for me to try. I got a kick out of the idea to remove odors from a lunch box by placing a slice of bread with white distilled vinegar in it over night. Definitely might have to check these out.

There’s so much info on the Website; no BPA, Lead, Vinyl or PVC, eco-friendly, etc etc. What hadn’t occured to me, however, is how a container like this helps for portioning food. Good stuff. Thank you!

I actually just found your blog and find it so interesting! I love it!

I went to the easylunchboxes site because it got me curious and I really like the fact the the pots fit perfectly in the lunchbox! I have lots of different pots and containers and a pretty lunchbag but it always ends up deformed or something leaks in it because my container ended up sideways or something like that, so it’s awesome that they made the lunchboxes an ideal size!!

I learned that they were created by an actress…I expected a mom, but an actress mom? Sweet.

I love that they are microwave AND dishwasher safe! So many things like that that I buy lately don’t seem to be dishwasher safe. I also love the individual compartments. Would love to win some!

I have been looking for the same thing. My husband is a kidney dialysis patient and he takes a snake with him everyday. It is not practical for him to have several containers of snacks sitting on his small table during his treatment. These would be great for him to have easy finger food at his easy use. Thanks, love your blog!

Squished sandwiches are a big problem for me. I like the idea of the compartimentalized containers because they are secure and keep the sandwich in tact! Clean up seems really convenient and easy with this product.

These look so handy! I want one! One of the good tips I saw on the website was “Instead of an ice block, place a frozen juice box or water bottle in the lunchbag. It’ll keep the food chilled and will be thawed by lunchtime.” That’ll save room in my lunchbox, too.
