ESPN’s Erin Andrews on Exercise

January 21, 2009 by Mary

Here is another celebrity health and fitness post.  :)  I love some healthy celebrities.  Today its ESPN Sideline Reporter Erin Andrews, who is amazing in my opinion (and in the dreams of many men).  The quotes come from an article from That’s Fit (AOL Health).

Erin Andres

Problems Erin had with staying healthy and fit on the job:

“Traveling for my job makes staying in shape really hard. We’re on the road so much, and for me … it’s tough cause I’m one of the only girls on site. I’m really close with the other talent and the broadcasters, so we go out to eat all the time. Today we had hamburgers! Eating on the road is the worst way to eat. Not only that, but I’m surrounded by guys! When you’re surrounded by men, you eat and drink like a guy.”

Erin continues, “Two years ago, when I did Thursday night football with Kirk Herbstreit, I gained ten pounds with him! At dinner we’d get four or five appetizers, a big meal and drinks. For breakfast, we’d have pancakes for appetizers. My pants stopped fitting last year… my new big butt was showing up on the internet courtesy of all the camera phones! I was like, ‘Ahhh! What happened to my butt!!!’”

Erin Andrews’s fitness solution:

“I’ve been working really hard this past year. I got a trainer and he’s taught me how to exercise on the road, which really matters for me. I now have a routine I can do with my iPod.”

She admits that she does mostly weight training and says, “I find that works best for me. I also run stadiums and use the university gyms on occasion when we’re given permission.”

Why Erin Andrews considers exercise important:

“I just love to eat. So, I want to be able to eat when I want to eat. Exercising allows me to do that.”

Erin Andrews’s favorite healthy food:

“I just got into seared tuna. I’m obsessed with it now. … I’m trying to cut out soda too. When I do, I drop weight quickly. Now, I’m a water girl.”

Erin Andrews’s favorite not-so-healthy food:

“I love lasagna. Read meat and potatoes too.”

Erin Andrews’s advice to those trying to get healthy and fit:

“Grab a set of weights. Do squats and arms at the same time! You’d be amazed at what you can accomplish in just 20 or 30 minutes.”

    Working out on the road is definitely tough. In room exercises like crunches and pushups are a must and you just have to learn how to drag your butt into the hotel gym.

    Let’s set the record straight.Hollywood celebrities (like Sylvester Stallone) don’t rely purely on drug aids to get that ripped chiseled body that leaves the tongue hanging as your eyes are glued on the screen.They use “metabolic enhancers” like METABOLIC TRANSFORMER 3066, which are workout programs that dramatically enhance the metabolic rate of your body to efficiently burn off calories while keeping muscles growing.That’s the type of exercising routines celebrities use to get ripped fast.It’s not unrealistic at all to bring weight down abnormally fast with such exercising programs.Well what works spectacularly well with these workout programs is that they shrink fat cells which directly affect our eating patterns like the “honest greed” to satisfy that gurgling little beast in us.Do you think Brad Pitt par example busts his guts off the gym?He’s a slacker.He uses modest intensity and fitness programs like the prementioned to transform his body into a fat burning machine.He still bites and drinks but moderately.Don’t be fooled, you can get that hot looking ripped to the bone body fast just by following such “celebrity routines”.A little action would do the trick:)Now is exercising that boosts the metabolic rate “the secret to lose weight”?Recent case studies conducted on several obese people come up with a resounding YES.

    @Miz
    haha me too! Seared tuna sounds really good.

    @John
    That is key. I am terrible at dragging myself to hotel gyms. I love my gym and hate all others.
