Happy Friday everyone!
5 Things On My Mind
- My mind! It’s all so very meta and annoying to have to think about your brain and how it works. But coming off anxiety medication means I have to pay attention. On guard!
- Gratitude. I’ve been writing in my gratitude journal every night for months and it has really instilled a sense of gratefulness in me. There is so much in my life that is good.
- Temperature. I swear I’m always either too cold or too hot and can’t find a comfortable temperature for myself these days. Right now? Cold, cold, cold.
- Coffee. I just got a cup of coffee before writing this post and I’ll probably have several more today. I’d like to cut back and detox off coffee soon because I don’t want to rely on anything to get me through my days.
- My mom. It was her birthday yesterday! I’m already planning her birthday for next year because she asked for a big party. I’m so excited about that. :)
5 Things I’m Doing This Weekend
- Watching Wolf of Wall Street. Oh my!
- Reading one of the many books I’ve started and haven’t finished.
- Hanging out with various friends and family.
- Going for a good workout!
- Taking JuJu for a walk or to the park – fun JuJu times!

- 24/6: A Prescription for a Healthier, Happier Life – Downloaded because it seemed interesting living in a culture that rarely rests. A plan for living a healthier, more God-centered life in a digitally-dazed, always-on world sounded great.
- Life Skills: How To Do Almost Anything – Downloaded because who doesn’t want to know how to do everything? Or at least more things?
- 5-Minute Stress Management – 7 Fast Acting Tension Killers – Downloaded because stress management has always been something I’ve struggled with and I could use a few tips.
- 1,001 Best Hot and Spicy Recipes – Downloaded because I love spicy food and have about 15 kinds of hot sauce in the kitchen. I’ll probably skim through what looks good and try a couple in the upcoming weeks.
- Crowdfunding: The Next Big Thing – Downloaded because I find crowdfunding fascinating! I probably won’t read this but it’s worth a skim.
