My last posts have been pretty hardcore, so I figured it’s time for some fun. It is the weekend afterall. Today I want to show you some of the fun, delicious things I’ve been eating lately in case you don’t follow my food blog. This is like a “best of” from my food blog and it’s all stuff I’ve eaten since going gluten free.
Meat and veggie stir fry with avocado:
Mixed greens salad with chicken salad and poached egg:
Raw brownie made of dates, walnuts, and cocoa:
Mango chicken curry with peas:
Taco salad with blue corn chips with sesame seeds:
Chicken, kidney bean, corn, and spinach salad with lime & honey dressing:
Snacks of date balls, banana chips, nuts, and spicy peas:
Red quinoa and cashews spinach salad:
As you can see, I’ve been eating a lot of salads lately. I’ve cut out grains while going gluten free so salads are very useful now. And delicious. :) I’ve really been loving my food lately. I don’t miss bread nearly as much as I thought I would!
Just wanted to share some yummy ideas with you all. Now I’m off to look for origami paper so I can start working on the flowers for my wedding! I’ve decided to take on the huge task of making all my flowers in this style. It’s going to take forever so I need to get started. Hello ongoing project!
Everything looks delish! I need to add more salads back into my meal plan…these are good inspiration!
Those flowers look awesome! I’m actually pretty allergic to flowers, and I’ve always wondered what I could do if I ever have a wedding so that it still looks great, but it doesn’t use real overpoweringly scented flowers…I think this is it! Your flowers are going to be gorgeous. Can’t wait to see more pics!
Yeah, paper flowers are definitely a good option if you are allergic to flowers. There are tons of different ideas that seem really cool besides that too. Flowers aren’t everything!
Humm, that mango chicken looks yummy! I’ll definitely try it!
Hi Mary, I found your site via Alissa’s blogroll. Had to say “thanks” for such a fantastic blog. I’ve bookmarked and will visit often. I’m half way to my 70lb weight loss goal, so I’m always looking for new ideas and inspiration. Have a great weekend!!!
What beautiful photos of food! You could put these on istock and sell them. Talent in all directions, we see!
Hehe. You are too nice. ;)
I can’t wait to see your flowers!
Lol speaking of fun foods I just posted me Sunday update on my live fat cutting journal. Losing fat and getting in good shape doesn’t have to be such a bore. If people treated themselves to “fun” foods instead of junk foods, it would be nowhere near as much of a challenge.
Mary, this is so insanely helpful! I’ve recently decided to go gluten free as well, and it’s hard to find recipes that still include variety. I love getting recipes from blogs because you know they must not be terrible if a trusted blogger is endorsing them. :)
Glad I could help! I too like variety and get bored eating the same things over and over again so I’m trying to keep that up with being gluten free. So far so good and I’ve saved a bunch of recipes from GF sites to try.
Everything looks so yammi, I was trying to find the recipes. I was looking for the raw brownie. I love healthy foods so much :)
