Grandchildren

had Today I went with my son and daughter in law to the hospital, where my very first blood granddaughter was getting ear tubes.  She is a little less than a year and it is so hard on a mother to go through that, so I went for moral support.  There is nothing like having a baby taken from you, by almost strangers, to be put under anesthesia and then be cut on to put the tubes in her ear.  She was so good and just went to the nurse with no problem and came through the procedure just fine, its always harder on the adults than the child.

She went home and took a long nap, because just like any surgery she could not eat after midnight, and she was hungry and tired. Once she had finished her nap, her mom took her to school to have lunch with her big sister, they are so cute together, eating sushi and holding her little sister.  They are both beautiful and look so much alike and love one another so much. We should always teach children to love one another and show them love as an example.  Teach your children the ways of the Lord and they will not change as they grow older.  My son and his wife are great parents and they teach their children the things that are important, they are also very good role models.

I raised my children to be kind and loving and to love the Lord, that is the best thing you can do for children, you can give them all kinds of things and give into their fits for wanting more, but what does that get you? A spoiled child with an “I want it and you need to give it to me” attitude, and left unchecked can lead to an adult with a fever for more and more. STOP and think what you are doing, the more they get the more they want so maybe the less they get the more they will appreciate what they get.

You can walk through a school between classes and see the children in the hall ways, pretty sure you can tell the spoiled selfish ones that are snubbing or picking at others, compared to the ones that are kind and thoughtful.  I have seen lots of things in my life, but when you see a child help and old person it means something, and when you see  some other  children standing around laughing it shows me the problem and it is not with the children it is with the parents, good and bad.

If you per chance read this post and you have children think about what they really need and what they don’t. God be with you and He will help you as long as you are willing to ask.
