I’ve decided to start a series of happiness tips. This blog’s main focus is living a merry, or happy life. Its part of my wellness philosophy: Be Happy, Live Healthy, Live Longer. So I will start posting more of the things I am learning and implementing in my life so that you can read and take what you want from them. If my blog and experiences can in any way make you even the tiniest bit happier or healthier than I will feel successful.
Happiness Tip #1: Do less.
This can be considered both a happiness and productivity tip. Its one I have been trying to implement more in my life as I see the people around me frazzled and overwhelmed with all that they try to do. They may seem to get more done, but they never seem happier.
Doing less will make you happier because your life won’t be so hectic and filled with stress. Doing less frees you from more of the tasks you loathe and allows you more time for things that give you pleasure. You will has more time for loved ones and living life the way you want.
How to do it? Focus on the essential tasks, the big ones that need your attention the most and will give you the most return for the time you put in and then get rid of the rest. This process will look different for everyone, but the thought process will be similar: decide what is most important to you and then stop doing what isn’t. You will do fewer things but be more effective and happier.
