Reality star, Kim Kardashian is getting her body ready for bikini season 2009 (like who isn’t these days?). She recently told US Weekly Magazine how she whittled herself down from a size 6 to a size 2 (which sparked a ton of controversy among celeb bloggers who are convinced she isn’t a size 2… yes I read these things). She explained that she did an upbeat warm-up and upper-body cardio using five pound weights and a lower body workout with plenty of squats and lunges. Then she finished her routine with a series of abs work and stretching. She said,
“I love my curves and have to work out to maintain them. Actually, keeping my shape takes a lot more work than just doing nothing or being super-skinny. So this was about toning up, getting fit.”
Well, I like that commentary. I’m a fan of both curves and being fit so I’ll jump on board the lingo, even if its just empty words from her. Then over the past week she blogged (yes, I went to the official Kim Kardashian website… eh) that she is determined to meet her goal to have ripped six pack abs for the summer. She wrote,
“I have been going sooo hard in the gym, and I really feel it’s paying off! My tummy is soo toned. Why is it that the top part gets ripped first and the lower part is sooo hard to tone up!? I am determined to have a six pack by summer! In a feminine way, of course.”
I also read about her trapeze workout. Kim Kardashian was recently spotted at Jukari Fitness Studio in Los Angles where she tried out a customized workout created by Reebok and Cirque du Soleil. The workout, called Jukari Fit to Fly, is designed for women fused with the creative and artistic appeal of Cirque du Soleil and the fitness expertise of Reebok. It sounds like a really cool workout, so I’m wondering where I can sign up. Kim Kardashian seemed to have a good time doing it and she even told the trainers she would like to bring her sisters along so they could try it too. Maybe she will bring me too? That sounds like one fun workout.
These celeb workouts crack me up. If we had all the time in the world, a chef, and a trainer we would look amazing too. Their workouts never sound that intense to warrant the bodies they are sporting. I think they don’t eat. Can you tell I am jealous lol :)
checking in on you.
reminding you to NOT forget the breakfast.
(Kim? no comment :) she could be SUCH a groundbreaking role model. )
@kristisummer
I agree… if I had all that I would be set. I would like to try the trapeze thing tho… sound so fun!
@MizFit
Thanks Miz. I grabbed some fruit on my way out!
And I agree about Kim and the could be’s… but I doubt that will happen. She seems to fall to the Hollywood pressure more than any of them.
