Hello, friends!
I finally finished moving and getting settled in. The move is another temporary move which is giving me a chance to explore another Memphis neighborhood (and save money for my next big life goals!).
This new area includes my next door neighbors who have chickens and a rooster that wakes me up way too early.
Ultimately I already know I don’t want to buy a house in this area but it will work for now. It’s another interesting experience to add to my list.
JuJu loves it though because she has a large backyard and friends to run with. Unfortunately the space comes with fleas and ticks so we’ve been having lots of baths lately to combat that nastiness.
I am loving more space and the ability to decorate once again. Even though it’s temporary it’s nice to have a place that feels like home. I’ve been doing lots of little things to encourage that feeling like buying little bunches of flowers each week.
Those lovelies were the first thing I moved in! Now I’m in the process of finding more cute things while staying on a budget. :)
It’s the time of year for Fitbloggin, and I’m enjoying seeing all the stuff on social media about the conference even though I’m not going. I’ve only attended one and it was the strangest weekend of my life:
- I ran my first mile at Fitbloggin…
- And also had my first trip to the hospital.
That experience was a mixed bag of ups and downs and I do hope to one day attend again. It always makes me think of running so I’ll be sure to go on a run or two this weekend in honor of Fitbloggin.
Speaking of running, I’ll be posting more about that in the upcoming months. I’ve got a few 5ks lined up and can’t wait to share about them!
I’m also currently playing recreational softball and will be playing volleyball next. It’s nice to play sports again and have a fun and social way to stay active! If I add a running group to my schedule I think I’ll have the perfect mix of fun, fitness, and social!
Life lately is great and I can’t wait to share more of it with y’all. :)
I perfectly understand the hassles of moving to a new home having had to do that every 3 years. And the one thing that I never understand is that every time the number of items just seemed to increase never once did it decrease. When we finally settled at Toronto, we had about 4 big moving storage units with us.
It took a few months for us to unpack and finally settle in but this time we could enjoy the process because we knew this was the last time. I hope that day comes soon to your life too.
Kudo’s to you for signing up for St. Jude. My son received treatment at St. Jude 2 years ago (Benign Osteo-Blastoma) and they are awesome folks there. I was going to run the St. Jude Half last year and was on my way there when it was cancelled. Thanks for helping St. Jude.
