Over the weekend I moved to a new place so I’m just now emerging from the packing/moving/unpacking whirlwind I was caught up in.
The great thing about moving? It’s a great workout! Moving lots of boxes and furniture around for several hours was the best workout I got all week and it wiped me out. I fell asleep and slept well the last two nights!
I think moving right now was a great idea. I previously lived in a rather run down apartment in a great part of town that was a bit high in rent and rather lonely. I wanted something better for myself and my dog so when our lease was up we decided to make a change…. Now I’ve got two roommates, a different but still great location, a great backyard for JuJu, a nice natural gas hot water system, a newer non-drafty house, a convenient location to the greenline for biking, and so many more benefits. Moving here was a great idea and I’m really excited for the future.
Since the move I’ve been nesting in my new place. Unpacking boxes, moving stuff around, that type of thing.
I’ve been snacking on grapes while getting things set up and helping Juju adjust to the change. It’s gone surprisingly well and I’m really glad I made the change that I did. Lately there has been so much change but this one feels good.
Changing one thing at a time for the better. Lately it does feel like everything has changed all at once and rapidly but each change moves me ahead and moves me closer to being the person I need and want to be.
It’s a slow process but necessary.
Speaking of necessary…
Yesterday I stuck with my workout even after unpacking all day!
I’m glad I went ahead and did my workout because working out is so very necessary right now. It keeps me sane and happy and moving forward. It keeps me full of happy emotions and endorphins. It’s something I like to do and do for fun – it’s not really even about weight loss anymore. It’s just part of my life and something that I do.
More change is ahead!
