Link Love

Personally I don’t like to do it, but studies show it may be good for you to keep working you when you are sick.  The common cold shouldn’t stop you from exercising.  If you catch something worse like the flu then stay home and let your body rest.

I clearly like success stories and learning from those who have found a way to live a healthier lifestyle.  So of course I love The Weigh We Were, which features weight loss success stories like this woman who lost 300 pounds without surgery.

Irene wrote about not belonging anywhere.  I definitely know the feeling, being on the outside of every circle.  I think at times everyone feels it.  Go give her some encouragement, eh?

Working and exercising at a gym I see plenty of interesting choices for workout clothes. At The Great Fitness Experiment there is a hilarious post on this called When Spandex Attacks: The Top 5 Worst Wardrobe Malfunctions in the Gym.  I’ve seen them all and more.

And now because I am getting lazy but still reading, here is a little pure Mary’s reading your stuff linkage: Andrew is Getting Fit, 101 Exercises, Back to the Fridge, Cranky Fitness, and the Jungle of Life.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I am leaving tomorrow for a snowboarding trip in Colorado.  I just found out I was going yesterday and now I will be gone through Friday.  That throws off my plans a little bit, but I can’t say no to three days of snowboarding for only 50 dollars.  I just can’t.  So I will be offline for the next week.

Hope you have a Happy New Year!  See you in the next year!

    Great links! Hilarious spandex tales. Inspiring weight loss story, too. I also started losing after I qualified for WLS (and decided not to do it).

    Have fun snowboarding. The snow should be excellent based on the storms that have come thru CA on their way to CO. Thanks for the links — the exercising while sick was especially timely and I’m going to try it tomorrowow!

    I’m on the other side of the Rockies and we’ve had the same storms as CO has — enjoy that fabulous snow!!!

    Have a happy and healthy 2009!

    Going /to/ snow sounds wonderful. As opposed, say, to having the snow come to you and having to shovel your @#$! driveway before you can drive your @#$! car and … oh, sorry, I was getting carried away for a minute there.
    Hope you have a wonderful time!
    (p.s. Love the title of your blog :)

    @Amy
    It was great snow on some parts of the mountain. We kept expecting snow every day too but only got some light flurries. Still great though!

    @Merry
    Thanks! I love your name! :)
