The Majestic Grille on Main St in Downtown Memphis is one of my favorite Downtown lunch spots for lunches with coworkers. It’s also a favorite date/interview/any reason you can think of spot. It’s simply that great of a restaurant – you want to go for any and every occasion.
The Majestic Grille not only has a great vintage vibe inside the restaurant but also carries the theme over to the menu and website as you can see from their online menu.
I’ve actually been here several times before and I often order the same thing that I got last time. I normally like to try new things, but I love this salad so much:
Majestic Grille’s Old Post Office Waldorf Salad
It comes with
- mixed greens
- green apple
- bleu cheese crumbles
- barbequed walnuts
- raspberry vinaigrette dressing
It’s all displayed beautifully on the plate. Because I need more protein than that I also added grilled chicken to my salad.
This salad is sooo good. It’s one of my favorite salads ever. I love the combination of things included. It’s so lovely and with chicken it’s very filling.
The original salad is $8, grilled chicken is $3, with tax and tip my total ended up being a little bit over $14. The cost is way too high for me and one of the only downsides to eating at The Majestic Grille. I’m sure for anyone who makes more money or has more to spend on eating out it isn’t a problem, but for me a $14 salad is enough that it’s a rare treat and not my every day lunch go to spot.
Other than the cost I love the restaurant. It has outside and inside seating. I love the architecture inside and the fact that they play old movies from a projector onto a big wall.
It’s a lovely and calm lunch time atmosphere. Almost everything on the menu looks/sounds/tastes great that I’ve tried. The flatbreads, calamari, etc., it’s all been amazing! They also have a grilled cheese sandwich that my co-workers LOVE and rave about every time they go here.
I definitely recommend The Majestic Grille!
