I’ve got some exciting news about a new challenge I’m participating in. It’s going to be a really awesome experience!
My Biggest Loser Challenge
I’m doing a group Biggest Loser Challenge with a few people from my mom’s work starting tomorrow. We are all putting in $50 and then the person who loses the most weight (%) at the end of 3 months wins the pot.
I better win.
I’ve needed something like this to help get me back on track. Its so easy for me to just sit around at my house and let things go because I have so many negative influences here. But competition (and money) (and weight loss) motivate me to do the hard work necessary to combat those influences.
I know there is the whole “do it for yourself” thing that everyone always says about weight loss. Well, uh, of course I am doing it for myself. If I didn’t want to do it for myself I wouldn’t do anything at all. I would just sit around and be content to not work hard at all. But competition makes me want to win. It makes me work harder. I like to try my best and know that I can beat other people (well, hopefully). And even if this competition wasn’t happening I have the feeling I would be doing something drastic right now (by drastic I mean just hitting the gym hardcore unlike the last couple months of being a gym avoider).
Lately my weight has been climbing back up and I have been feeling MISERABLE. My body is tired, it pops in places it shouldn’t, my knees hurts, etc. I just feel horrid at this weight. So I must do something now to stop this from getting worse. I am not spending the rest of my life like this; I need to lose the weight and get healthy once and for all.

Reasons To Participate In A Biggest Loser Challenge
Biggest Loser challenges are a less extreme version of what you see on the hit TV show The Biggest Loser. A Biggest Loser Challenge hosted by a gym or a workplace is simply a weight loss challenge with lots of participants and encouragement and often prizes for the winner.
