I’m finally getting around to sharing our nursery tour! I started working on the nursery a couple months before Penny was born but it is just now finally feeling finished.
We love our baby girl nursery! This was so fun to put together and is super fun to spend time in with her. It is honestly one of my favorite rooms in the house. Actually, the nursery is my favorite room in the house!
I started the design plan by choosing a mountain / outdoors theme. I knew I wanted a mountain mural on one of the nursery walls and my father-in-law was awesome enough to implement my vision. I knew I wanted a color palette of greys and purples so I chose a light grey for the other walls and several shades for the mountain mural.
I knew all the baby stuff in the room eventually would bring in a ton of color so there was no need to throw a ton of pink on the walls! We did get a ton of amazing gifts at our baby showers and you can see in the video that I say “gift” a lot. Our generous friends and family really helped us outfit the nursery!
Some of our favorites mentioned in the video linked below with affiliate links:
Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler Rocker
She sits in this thing several times a day because she loves looking at the animals and we love being able to put her in a more upright position if we are getting ready or can’t hold her.
Dohm White Noise Sound Machine
This thing is aaaaaaamazing. Seriously it helps her sleep so well. And I fell in love with white noise because of it so I bought the portable version to use in my room and on trips.
Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Baby Monitor
We moved Penny to her crib in her nursery quite early so it was important to us to have a high quality monitor. This has been well worth the money and I know why it has so many positive reviews!
This awesome thing has just started getting more use but it’s been great for play time and tummy time! She doesn’t love tummy time still but we start out here on her back, then tuck and roll to the side, then do tummy time while she kicks and makes noise on the piano.
My boppy pillow has been so key while I’ve been breastfeeding for the last couple months! Even better is this pillow can transition to an item Penny can use!
I’m loving the diaper genie so far! It looks great in the nursery and keeps some of her smelliest diapers locked down so we don’t have to smell them. Win, win, win!
Delta Children Emma Nursery Glider Chair
I bought my glider from Target without ever sitting in it but it worked out perfectly! I went with the lighter grey but I still sort of wish I had gotten this dark grey! Either way, I love how comfy and cute the chair is.
All of these things live in the nursery and we love them!
My last project is an ongoing one: the gallery wall! I started the gallery wall above the changing table to show some of our favorite photos and some photos and postcards from all my favorite mountain ranges. I’ve still not printed all my snowboarding photos or made her baby shadow box but it’s coming along. It’s nice to have a work in progress.
