Snowboarding Trip In New Zealand

August 7, 2012 by Mary

I survived snowboarding in New Zealand!

The actual trip was strange because no one that came knew how to snowboard or wanted to progress beyond the bunny hill. I however, was ready to hit the slopes! I went to the top of the mountain alone several times and enjoyed a few leisurely runs down the mountain.

Being on top of a mountain is one of my favorite things in the world, and I’ve done it all over the world now! I started my snowboarding in North Carolina back in the day and have since been to Colorado several times. I’ve also snowboarded in the Austrian Alps (so amazing!) and now in New Zealand! I’ll take that claim as a worldly snowboarder, thanks!

Downside to snowboarding this time tho? I caught a cold/flu! Oops!

I guess I learned not to go snowboarding when you feel sick… or suffer the consequences. Lesson learned!

The last few days I’ve been on the couch/bed feeling worse than I have in years. I think I’ve finally turned a corner and might even feel back to normal by the weekend. Fingers crossed!

I’ll be back soon to recap the trip but for now I’m just resting and trying to get better mentally and physically. Being really sick is the worst as you know! Hope everyone else is doing well!

I remember my first time skiing. I spent at least 70% of the time on my butt.

I hope you feel better soon! I’m glad snowboarding was fun, even if it did help your sick.

    Two things:

    1) nothing is as good as a mom.

    2) i believe everything you say!

    Hehe, love you!
