Happy Sunday, y’all!
Today’s been full of all the best things: faith, fitness, food, and fun! Since my blog is more focused on the fitness and fun aspects, I’ll cover those. Hurray!
Fitness
Today’s fitness was awesome! I managed to pack a lot into my day even though my morning got off to a slow start.
I hit the gym for 30 minutes of cardio and an upper body strength session with low weights and high reps. It got my heartrate up and I felt so great afterwards!
Later in the afternoon I took my Juju baby on a walk after she gave me the sad puppy eyes near the door. We usually take a long walk on Sundays so I think she knew it was time. I enjoyed the refreshing walk and loved the fact that it was my second workout for the day.
My Polar Loop is pretty proud of my fitness activities today even though I only started after noon.
Food
Foodwise I’ve had a great day as well. I started the morning with oatmeal with PB2 and chia seeds and then had leftovers of turkey chili and egg sausage casserole for lunch.
In between workouts this afternoon I snuck in my food prep. I made my weekly meal plan and I also made two eat ahead meals for the week.
This time I made another egg and sausage casserole and a crockpot mexican rice mix. If it turns out well I’ll share the recipe later. Fingers crossed!
Fun
Honestly, all of this was fun… even the normal Sunday cleaning chores!
I’m finding a lot of joy in stability and daily/weekly tasks like this. After a very tumultuous period in life, the stability and routine is so nice.
