I loooove Fridays! It has been such a fabulous day today.
It started at work when everyone walked in happy that today was Friday. Its been a long time since I worked every day Monday through Friday and I forgot how people act on specific days. Mondays really do suck… Fridays really are awesome… and it shows in people’s faces and actions. Everyone greeted me and smiled and no one complained about workouts or anything. Hurray for happy people! Hurray for Friday!
Today was a great day for me with everything, not just work. After work I worked out and it was fabulous as well. Breakdown of the exercise:
20 minutes biking
15 minutes elliptical
25 minutes treadmill
5 minutes rowing
an ab workout
The treadmill and ab workout was done with a co-worker. She started working out three days ago because she saw me go do it after my shift and said it inspired her. Today I stayed later just so I could do part of my workout with her because I think its so awesome that I actually inspired someone to do something healthy.
Because I had such a great workout I wanted to keep my eating in check today and that has happened so far. I am well under the amount of calories I need for the day and have one snack left to go. Assuming I continue on this path and don’t reach for any sweets (which I can’t because we don’t have any here!) I will also have a fantastic day in the food department that will push my weight loss.
So… EVERYTHING is good today! I worked out, ate well, had a great day at work, and I feel fabulous. I love how my body feels right now… it feels right and happy. I will definitely continue working out after I get off work every day so I can keep this up and because I really LOVE the feeling of inspiring someone to do good things for themself and be healthy. I didn’t know I wanted to inspire people but now that its happened once I want it to keep happening.
Whooooo-HA!! I know exactly what you mean. I went to my “Y” today. I was sweating like a piggie on the elliptical. The rowing machine is my lover. I wish I could just do that all day long! I think I must have the muscles of a rower. It doesn’t bother me at all. This is why I know I need to do other things that I NEED to do.
What strikes me most about your post is your joyful attitude. I get that! When I was at the gym today, I was bopping up the stairs, down the stairs, and scurrying to the pool. All the while, I felt so happy. I was accomplishing something and it felt so good!!
