Obviously Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and I like to take a post and share some of the blessings in my life that I’m thankful for. I’m incredibly blessed in life right now so I have a lot to share today!
I’m thankful for your support. For many of you long-term blog readers, I simply can’t believe you still check in to read about my life after seeing all the ups/downs/changes over the years. For you newbies? Thanks for stopping by! I hope I can provide useful content as well as some insights and stories about my life and journey in health and happiness. I’m so thankful for you reading, for helping support me by giving my blog pageviews for ad revenue, for buying things via Amazon affiliate links, for allowing me to make enough from this blog to keep it going. I’m hoping to better serve you all in the next year so thank you again for your support in whatever way it comes!
I’m thankful for a vacation. It’s been two years since my last vacation when I went to New York City with friends. Life lately has been about work and finding contentment by staying in one place but I’ve been missing travel for a while. I’m thrilled to be off work this week and traveling with friends and loved ones to a new-to-me part of Tennessee. A chill holiday vacation in the mountains is such a blessing right now.
I’m thankful for Jason. I’ve been mentioning this fellow for a while here on the blog and I have to say – he has made my life so amazing. I’ve never met someone who made me happy cry and this guy has done it so many times I can’t even keep track. I’m also thankful for all the laughs, inside jokes, new experiences, and new friends he has brought into my life. You rock, boo.
I’m thankful I can remember my blessings. One of the cool things about having a blog is that I can look back and see all the things I’ve been thankful for in the past. I’ve documented several Thanksgivings on the blog! Sometimes I took the time off to just be present but I’m reminded when scrolling though my lists of past Thanksgivings that I’ve been a very lucky and bless lady.
I’m thankful for a lot of things! Instead of going on and on in detail about everything I’m thankful for, I made a list of the many things I’m thankful for some of which are small and new and some are huge:
- My daily gratitude journal
- Juju the silly boo boo head dog
- My roommate who also happens to be a best friend
- Living near my family
- My new niece
- Sharing experiences with my family
- A growing family
- The ability to enjoy new Memphis restaurants
- Living in a city with soul and opportunity
- My fitbit and gym membership
- An interesting and fun job
- My little wedding side business full of love, happiness and community
- Volunteer opportunities
- New clothes and pretty accessories
- New haircut and highlights
- Dollar Tree hauls
- Christmas decorations! Christmas presents! Christmas in general!
- AdvoCare Spark (powering me through this post!)
- Meeting new bloggers and foodies
- Netflix (’cause lets be real)
- Growing financial peace
- A savings fund to buy a house!! Soon!!
I obviously have a ton to be thankful for this year and always.
Life is amazing and I hope yours too.
If life is not that great right now? It will get better. I promise. Life is a series of high and lows, peaks and valleys. The low spots are tough and it hurts but it never lasts forever. If the holidays are tough this year I know they will get better for you.
Happy Thanksgiving my friends!
